they said the actuall legacy buff does not start till 11 levels above the instances highest lvl so yes it should be kicked in they did say they lowered the solo difficulty but not enough really

They held off for a while still. And then after some patch - even firelands was causing people issues for a bit so I think they just haven’t bothered doing it correctly and lazily just said ‘‘here you go.’’
Then you get the flexers coming in , not reading the thread title , saying how ez it is

This was my experience too. Early on I took my level 50 hunter in end-of-BFA welfare epics and my level 60 hunter to see if it was just the scaling that was off, my hunter was about iLvl 210 at the time.
My 50 hunter couldn’t get past the first boss in Mythic Nighthold on their own. My 60 hunter (this one) couldn’t really die, per se, she wasn’t in danger of failing, but good LORD did it take a million years to actually kill anything. Like 3 minutes for each boss, for something that should have taken me two to three hits. And then the demon at the very end was impossible, there was no way for me to do enough damage to not get taken down by the progressive damage.
I can’t imagine any other reason, honestly.

I’m going with indifference personally. Ion addressed this at the start of the expansion saying the problem will basically solve itself given enough time for mudflation to kick in.
I think it’s a lousy answer and I have been unsubbed from when that interview was released until 3 days ago to show where my vote lies. I’m back to check out the leveling and quests since a lot of the time gates have now been lifted.
I came back to the game in 7.3 after having been gone since Vanilla, and I got excited when I found out about the 2 expansion rule. I farmed most of what I wanted thru WoD and was patiently waiting on SL to reach legacy status when the rules changed.

This is the crux of the issue. It’s not like they announced a formal change in how legacy content was going to be treated from now on. They promised the squish would have NO impact on the ability to solo old raids, and it has instead had a SIGNIFICANT impact. And yet, despite the fact that it has not been working according to their own stated intention, they have been slow to respond and the response has been lackluster.

I am in process of soloing mythic Tomb right now, after first boss I did 54k…so it APPEARS that we now do additional damage to the bosses in Legion raids.

We’ve had the 8x damage multiplier the entire time. The problem is that the multipler is stupidly low in relation to the obscenely high health of the bosses that resulted from the shortsighted level squish and bad scaling.

I mean, I could solo normal NH on a level 50 with about normal ny’alotha gear (aprox ilvl 100). it wasn’t fast, but it was doable pre 9.1.5
I was just updating anyone interested. I was able to solo all Legion content before on mythic, but last week I was doing SL normal dps to the raids, now I’m doing 55k+…damage modifier was most DEFINITELY changed in this reset.
I think there was a legacy rules bug with Legion content at some point last week based on posts in the bug report forum (e.g. loot not dropping). I didn’t have any issues with M ToS up to KJ but that was in the earlier part of the week.
In whatever form, it should be MUCH easier this week…last week due to insane health pools and piddly damage from me, bosses were taking 5+ minutes to beat…this week maybe a min and a half, if that, depending mechanics
I still can’t but help to laugh when I read things like “it took a minute and a half to down a legacy raid boss” because this should not even be a thing x_x

I’ll be happy if M Eonar actually becomes soloable. I gave it a few fair shakes and was wiped within 50-51 seconds each time because of the Paraxis and portals never spawning.
I’ll be doing that encounter soon enough…I’ll update on how it is. It was SUPER tight mechanically and timers the past 2 weeks I did it…
It was solo-able the past couple weeks for me but insane timer and mechanics check where a second or two of error meant wipe
They’ve stealth nerfed Legion gear drops anyway. The program to change the game from the one we remember fondly to one it doesn’t even resemble continues unabated.
