you dont get it, you just dont, why are you even here? If you REFUSE to accept what legacy used to mean thats entirely on you. You are the fault and issue. Not every single other player who has run legacy content over the past several expansions in which it existed.

What has kept me subbed mostly. Wearing thin though. I will see how that nice xp boost in SOM pans out to ride my time.
Day 1 and I like it. Enough to token it to try 1 more month for first ever natural 60? maybe…see where I am first week of dec when time runs out.
it is nice. even open world grinding feels better. I mean sure you are killing some animal for a body part they should have but don’t drop in loot…but its 40% more xp.

Nothing the OP has said has even supported his claim. His claim isn’t about it being soloable or not but rather he seems to claim that a fresh 60 should 1 shot all the bosses(yes he said that verbatim). If you’re a fresh 60 you should have other priorities. This thread is just the OP finding a reason to cry.

That’s how it was before, that’s how it should be now. There is no, zero, reason why people should have to struggle to take down Legion content in this, the Year of Our Lord 2021.

Times change and their way they run the game changed. However, I don’t recall 1 shotting something from 2 expansions ago in mythic mode. Also you’re basing it on times when the modes didn’t scale in the same way. You still have 0 support other than “wahhhh I want it” which isn’t a valid support to an argument. Just because it’s your opinion doesn’t mean raging whining is valid support for a stance.
There is (strangely) a difference between content set to a Legacy level and Legacy gear rules. Which is confusing and they should change the names to make it clear that they are two different things. Maybe make Historic gear rules and Legacy content ruiles.
The problem for Legion is that it is doesnt seem set to Legacy content rules, at least not as I understand it. If it were, then any level 60 of whatever gear level would be able to walk into it and wipe the content in a very sort period of time. In BfA I seem to recall doing Mythic Hellfire Citadel in an effort to get the mount with virtually no trouble at all. I mean, it wasnt instant kills but it didn’t threaten my character with dead at any real point. Now, I cannot remember if that was towards the end of BfA (I suspect it was) when my characters were as strong as they were ever going to get and had all those Corruption pieces with their flashy automatic assault rifle type attacks, because they were just totally OP at that point.
It may be that we need to be in the same situation for Legion - at the end of Shadowlands with whatever awesome extra bling we might earn by that time. I suspect it wont be as easy because we’ve been told no extra systems are happening (as they did in BfA) but hopefully they will do even more adjustments than they have to date in that case.

Legions legacy buff has been 8x damage. Older expacs have a significantly higher multiplier. What we ended up with was the awful combo absurdly high health bosses from botched scaling and a damage multiplier that is very low for legacy content.
I made many posts before pointing out these issues, such as how M Goroth has more health than the first boss of M BoD from BFA. I think even ICC has messed up health scaling where bosses there have more health than Goroth, but the damage multiplier in ICC is much higher and helps mitigate that problem.
Bad scaling made this a bad issue and the weak damage multiplier is laughable.

or is it that after years of being spoon-fed large-scale group content in solo format, you take it for granted? it’s a shame we got this far, but it’s as good of a time as any to make things right and stop desecrating raid content.

Timewalking gives people old raid as is. Want that spirit its there.
At this point you will wait an hour + for even CN runs. If you get them. You can’t get 25 people to run a current raid.
and it is current. there is literally a memory many people need here they may not get easily. it for some is even a BIS or close one still.
so…as the game gets older getting 25 people to have argus night is rather unrealistic.
I tried to get legion runs in BFA even lol. LFG, begging for people at the meeting stone. If your time slot is dead…you get no runs.

not necessarily, in the past before squish I had my main running my progression and alts with zero progression who were absolutely capable of farming outdated content. They didnt require any gearing. They hit max level and do half a million or more dps wrecking bosses invalidating any required mechanics, that is the point.
Telling people to get mythic raid geared to have a chance of beating 5 year old content is not what “legacy” content has meant for as long as “legacy” content has been a thing in this game. I get that it might be the new direction, but as a direction alot of people think its terrible, and they wont go get mythic geared to go do what they were doing before. Some will just stop playing altogether

Legion content can be soloable, was able to solo it on my arms warrior and ret pally in season 1 combatant upgraded pvp gear. make sure u equip ur heart of azeroth neck from BFA since it can be used in content outside of shadowlands. the neck alone provides a huge boost to dmg and survivability. yeah it sucks u have to spend a minute or 2 fighting an old content boss but meh
OP, You can thank Ion for the BS we go through now. He hates us all. He only cares about raid logging.

It’s a shame they need a “community council” to acknowledge this problem. If there was some way they could unlock the forums so the devs could read these posts instead of sitting around not having a clue to what is happening.

It is not raid content, not when it is from two expansions ago and it is item level 50. Last time I checked people that do solo old raids for mogs and mounts still pay the same amount for a monthly sub. as you do.
It is a shame that people like you have to desecrate a very large group of players that are paying for the content YOU enjoy but somehow YOU feel they should not be allowed to do the same.
Maybe what you should do is stage a protest outside of the Legion raid entrances with a sign saying “Stop the desecration of prior raids now!”

Im guessing things aint gonna get good untill we get new expansion geared even though we are 15 lvls above to do legacy ( For people who dont know the one shotter legacy or anything legacy was considered when you are 11 levels above the content u r doing ) . I just hope that at that point "legacy " doesnt get promoted to like you need 4 expansions above lol .

I cleared mythic HFC on this character on May 10th 2019, after Blizz fixed the cannons on the 1st boss. That’s about a month before patch 8.2 hit BFA, bringing with it the 2nd raid tier.
By comparison, last weekend me and 2 friends went to clear Mythic ToS and couldn’t clear the last boss. It definitely needs another tuning pass.
