Recent interview said they have no plans to bring the feature outside of undermine.
It being an extra spell ability that hovers in your face if it’s not on your bar kinda cements that statement too, if there was any chance at all they were considering for it to be used outside undermine, it would be sitting in our mounts tab.

the fishing raft is fairly similar and it’s a toy.
The Dragon Flying thing had those runes you had to pick up, it was changed. I for one hope they bring something like this to the outside world. An extra option for those who want it because let’s be honest, ground mounts are boring and after the introduction of dragon flying we can see that they don’t have to be.

Agreed. Leave it with the gobbies in Undermined where it belongs, with them bunch of green stooges.
However, if you were to give us an option to increase the speed of ground mounts through some achievement or other, I wouldn’t kick that idea out of the room.

Man WoW players are something else. You give them nice stuff and they drop their pants and take a crap over the respective stuff.
Why leave it there? Why not simply leave it as it is, but allow players to use it anywhere that way the cart can do what it does and the rest of the mounts, remain the same?

That’s pretty disgusting. Ground mount players should be able to zoom wherever like flyers. It’s only fair.

Ground mounts could use an upgrade but DRIVE is not it even if I like the system. It’s too much “this is a car” and 99% of mounts would look atrocious moving like this.

Can’t we have boss? Let us use drive outside but give all mounts an update too? that’s seperate? I hate this anti fun policy at blizzard. Couldn’t dragon ride outside dragon isles like all expansion and now can’t drive outside of a zone we’ll rarely return to in a few months
Lore wise: Goblin Insurance won’t allow the cars to leave Undermine. Or something. Property of the cartels, not for sale, yadda yadda.
Personally, I love D.R.I.V.E. - in undermine only. I would like to see a rework of ground mounts, but not like how D.R.I.V.E. functions.

D.R.I.V.E. uses the Wrath-era vehicle interface.
That isn’t “nice stuff”. It’s 15-year-old trash that was bad when it came out and remains bad now.
Dragonflying was great because it works like a mount.
D.R.I.V.E. is trash because it works like a vehicle, and the vehicle interface has always been horrible.
