It is definitely possible, I’ve known groups to have done it after I had to leave for the night. It just depends on how long people stay there to learn the mechanics.
the most truthful comment ever!
Its doable just sucks. Its why I’ve only downed him once. Never want to step foot in there again. I was lucky and downed him day 2 of release at 7 stacks and tried on an alt but gave up after mass exodus
Join a guild, raid with said guild. I never understood why people pug
The issue is that N’zoth requires the barest ammount of communication and brain power.
I work an unpredictable and ever changing schedule, guilds are not really an option.
Nothing bait about it .
I as well as others have said we do it because we don’t like doing normal or higher any more . I’ve been doing less above lfr raids since legion . Lot of it has to do because of work and guild raids don’t match up and I will only do normal and higher with friends.
We have people like that in our guild who just come along to alt heroic runs when they can
yup, which begs the question why is blizzard making LFR so hard to do.
Oh look, the veil is complete removed.
Happy Early Sunday folks!
They are kinda screwed either way. Make it too easy and there’s no actual point to it and everyone cries it’s too easy make it harder. Make it harder and it’s omg why do all these scrubs keep failing nerf it.
Damned if you do, damned of you don’t. Just like with Wrath -> Cata dungeons. people screamed and complained about how easy the Wrath dungeons were so they made them a lot harder in cataclysm and then had to Nerf them in what, a month or two because it turns out when you have a random group finder you can’t have dungeons be very hard or challenging because you’re mixing people of different skill levels and, despite what people like to claim, there is no mythical if things are hard people will try harder to accomplish it. If things are hard most people will try and eventually give up if they can’t overcome it.
People who cry it is too easy have an option - do normal or heroic. If it is too hard then the people who that content is intended for don’t have that content.
Because people either refuse to learn the mechanics, don’t follow the mechanics or(I’m going to just assume this is a rare case) want to grief the group they are in and won’t do the mechanics.
I’ve done it once, on my druid, at 7 stacks, so it can be done. I think my brother got ultra lucky and did it in like 4 the other day just because he’s OCD about completing quests. XD All the other times I’ve tried though it’s been wipe, people quit, backfill, wipe again. It’s not fun and even though a few pieces from him might be minor upgrades I queue for all wings except him, because I don’t want a 1k repair bill and we still didn’t down the boss.
Also good luck finding a fresh group for carapace. He’s easy, it’s getting to him that’s hard.
Don’t leave after only a few wipes and you’ll kill N’Zoth! Yay!
The group refills and you can have up to 10 stacks of determination.
It’s plenty doable. First time I got him down after joining a group that was at 10 stacks and took 4 pulls. Took my alt in a few weeks ago and 1 shot both bosses in the wing. Just another layer of RNG.
You don’t need 10 stacks. 5 or 6 at most.
We don’t need any stacks, stacks aren’t the issue.
People refusing to listen to directions are.
You aren’t going to fix people being people.
Yeah ive done it OP. I only tank LFR raids and it does take a bit of work and explaining to ppl. So leadership is required just like any other raid difficulty. Many come to the fight for the first time. Ive found the following to work for any last boss of a raid in LFR:
- Always ask who needs help with mechanics in /rw or /raid. Multiple times.
- Clearly explain mechanic(s) for each phase
- Clearly state that wiping is expected but try making progress through each wipe
- Try to not make it stressful by using swear words
- During the fight call out important stuff like focus adds, focus boss, gj all, hero etc…
Hope this helps you or anyone else doing LFR last bosses.
