Why argue for dual spec?

We already did. It’s in the OP.

It makes way more sense to save dual spec for TBC: Season of Mastery…or you know, WOTLK.

However, not even Classic era SoM got dual spec…doesn’t exactly spell great news for it getting in to non-SoM TBC.

What exactly is the distinction between the first server and SoM if they chuck all the feature changes in to the original one?

Probably because Dual Specc is something that the community wanted since original TBC.

And because it is that era stage of the game (TBC/Wrath) the Dual specc is more thematic.

most people want just a little bit more flexibility, not a full removal of everything.

So feel free to explain the problems with dual pec in TBC?

It reduces the impact of spec choice in an expansion where that is still supposed to matter.

Why is this a problem?

This is a silly question because all you need to do is ask yourself why adding any feature that was added in later expansions is a problem.

Take your pick. LFD, LFR, pet battles, whatever. Why is it a bad thing to add those?

I didn’t ask about those things,

Why is dual spec a bad thing? It certainly didn’t impact my spec choice, if anything it enhanced it.

It doesn’t matter your question is gaslighting.

You asked what the problem is.

I gave you a problem.

Your response is to say “that’s not a problem”.

Okay then, so where do we go from here? You immediately dismiss all answers to your questions because it doesn’t align with your perspective which means you are invalid for discussion.

The right thing to do is to hear the answer, understand that the opinion presented considers something a problem that you don’t, but put the shoe on the other foot and understand why the other side sees it as a problem.

…but no, not you, lol. Youre in the business of asking questions you don’t actually want answers to, you just want to ask and then put your fingers in your ears and pretend answers aren’t provided.

It reduces spec choice is highly subjective.

Both in that it does and that that even matters.

Ziryus is a master of wasting people’s time for fun on the forums.

Sometimes that’s fun. I found it fun enough today. But he’s never going to reflect, grow, or learn.

Just continue to ask for changes until he either gets them or… well I mean he seems to have a lot of free time.

WoW generates a lot of down time :stuck_out_tongue:

On a flight path, down time, waiting for BG rez down time :stuck_out_tongue:

Trying to find a group because of lack of dual spec and no healer/tank down time :stuck_out_tongue:

No changes please.

You enjoying the incubus?

cause I want to do it in front of the boss …

for sure - true

I mean that would be slightly harder, than just “Not locking” talent points. Just make talent trees not locked, you can undo and re add talent points at will. Need X talent for 1 boss but not the rest of the raid. BOOM done. I would say that they would probably want to disable that option in areas though, just cause.

And glyphs

Check out Retail. Tanks and healers are still in insanely high demand and dual spec has been around for many years at this point. This is after giving tanks satchels loaded with mounts and pets and epics.

The beneficial effect it would have wouldn’t even come close to justifying bastardizing Classic any more than it already has been.

Don’t forget they made aggro brain dead easy, adaptive gear, tri spec (because dual spec wasn’t enough) dumbed down talents to make being bad harder, exc.

Still a tank and healer shortage.

I love how people claim dual spec will make things better, but just ignore historical facts that prove it didn’t fix anything.
