Why argue for dual spec?

I’m sorry but do you know what client classic was based on…?

We started on the legion client, which is post dual spec being added.

You mean post-removal and complete reconstruction in to a completely different talent system…

Well we don’t know that, their code base is likely a complete mess, it’s almost like I qualified that in my original statement.

Regardless they do have the code for dual spec, since you know they were actually running backups by that time

Anything that helps us get more healers and tanks, thanks.

Bring dual spec to Classic TBC and Classic Era.

Well it’s a nice fantasy but reality doesn’t support your hopefulness.

/shrug reality supports that blizzard can and will make more major changes than dual spec to TBC Classic.

dual spec wont magically make people play tank or healer especially for dungeons no one wants to do. they would still charge gold if they were to do so. It’s only purpose would be helping pvpers.

But we don’t know how it will work in tbc.

Tbc never had dual spec and very different design goal intentions than wotlk did. So we don’t know how it will interact with tbcc.

You strawman how it worked for wotlk and assume it would work for tbcc.

I bet it would make at least one person gear a tanking or healing spec. That makes one more person willing to tank and heal that’s a pretty pretty big deal.

And so what?

I’m supposed to be OK with you hurting the authenticity of my product that promises an authentic recreation because you promise 1 person will use it to tank someone’s heroic dungeon?

Lol

Why would we think it would work any differently?

You go to a trainer, you pay 1000g, you unlock dual spec, you can then switch between two predefined specs.

Why is that any different in TBC vs Wrath? We know all the mechanics of TBC and Wrath explain the problem.

Can you not explain why dual spec would not work in TBC?

LOL LOL LOL

Hilarious. You think Classic is the genuine classic experience, how cute.

No one’s promised that about TBCC. It’s also not your product. And it’s not authentic, at all.

Dual spec would be a massive improvement on the current version of the game. Would also have zero negative effect, aside from a few cretins screeching about “nO ChAnGeS reeee!@1”

Because talents and class design are different. Because content is different. Because of a lot of differences.

But you want to ignore everything that changed from tbc to wotlk 3.1.

None of that impacts how dual spec works.

Why do the mechanics of dual spec not work in TBC?

Obviously the mechanics of same faction BG’s work in TBC.

dual spec will save wow just how the raid nerfs saved wow. So praised upon beforehand and then wowi raiders dropped until BT announcement because of it being so boring that no one even wanted to do it anymore… but forumers are right if its in their favour!

False.

Blizzard explicitly promised a faithful recreation and has often champion’d authenticity over functionality in recent blue posts on change requests.

hows that incubus working out for you

Look, people are different and have fun in different ways. For you perhaps the only reason you’d use dual spec is for pvp. But I’d use it to heal dungeons with my druid. I like to heal dungeons but have her in a dps spec because farming or questing in a resto spec isn’t fun for me. Will every person with a dps hybrid spec use dual spec to heal or tank? Of course not, but some will. See if you can grasp the reality that not everyone has the same subjective experience of the game as you do.
