I’ve never claimed it was popular, only that I’m enjoying it. Do I have complaints? Sure. Is SL an improvement from BFA? You betcha.
There are decisions from blizz i don’t understand and would criticize, but the problem is the community will ALWAYS fine a new thing to harp on.
If the complaints seemed in good faith and actually accomplished something when addressed there wouldn’t be nearly as much resistance to critique posts.
Endgame in SL is super good imho, it’s torghast, the maw, no tier sets, nothing todo but endgame which is what’s killing me. Hell the world quest are hands down the worse ever. Legion will always be one of my favorites because it had so much replay value. I have zero desire currently to level an alt to 60.
The Nile River flows over 6,600 kilometers (4,100 miles) until emptying into the Mediterranean Sea. For thousands of years, the river has provided a source of irrigation to transform the dry area around it into lush agricultural land. Today, the river continues to serve as a source of irrigation, as well as an important transportation and trade route.
This is a ‘pandemic’ expansion to me… I believe that’s the reason for it’s moderate success, as well as the delays and lack of updates. Felt a bit unfinished on release, like they had spent the most time on Revendreth and CN, the rest feels underwhelming.
By contrast, going through Legion and BFA for the first time with everything unlocked has been amazing. Give Shadowlands a couple years and it will finally be complete.
I honestly don’t see the problem. I’m seriously enjoying myself this expansion. If I had to complain about anything it would be how hard it is to make a decent amount of Anima if you’re a person like me that doesn’t do a whole lot of dungeon runs. It’s going to take a whole lot of time for me to try to get a full set of gear from a covenant if I decide to try for it once I get finished with renown. I prefer to Quest my way through the game solo most of the time even though I am capable player. No one’s ever kicked me from a group or anything LOL, I know my rotations and work hard to make sure that I’m pulling my part in a group setting but I’m not exactly an epic raider.
I have however been playing since launch off and on. I leave for a few months at a time when I stop having fun. At times I get sick of the grind the chores feeling of it all but I always come back because in the end they’re still nothing better than WOW out there for me.
So many different play styles and personalities out there you can’t possibly know for sure how everyone feels about the expansion.
Popular or not, I’m enjoying it enough to hang around. God knows I like plenty of other things that aren’t popular. That said, there’s plenty of room for improvement.
It’s not so much the drop. All expansions have drops. It’s the large drop in just two months that should be alarming. No matter how you at the numbers it should be concerning.
Technically I think that Shadowlands is a well made expansion. BfA was a mess. So what’s the difference? IMO players are turned off by so many systems being tied to Covenants, the Maw and Tor’ghast are frustrating and borning, and the “Realm of Death” expansion is a big downer.
I don’t care about the ones who left. I rarely think about the ones that remain. I can only worry about myself, as that is the only demographic I have any control over. simple as.
