Besides the fact that the assertion GDKPs run on sold gold is an assumption, it’s not a weird take at all with cold hard facts.
RMT existed and was a huge problem prior to the wide takeoff of GDKPs.
RMT has existed throughout the history of every MMO.
GDKPs have existed at the same time as RMT without the feedback relationship you’re asserting exists in SoD.
Your stance relies on assumption, though to be fair, it’s a reasonable one. It doesn’t stand up to an examination of historic experiences in WoW, however. There are a plethora of games that have nothing like GDKPs that also have massive issues with RMT.

You chose RMT specifically because it’s a punishable offense.
