That implies a causal relationship which doesn’t exist, as evidenced by RMT being a colossal problem well before GDKPs were a thing, and GDKPs existing with RMT simultaneously without exacerbating it. We have over a decade of history we can look back on for this.
Banning GDKPs is akin to putting a bandaid on a tumor.

Hmm… Maybe, but Gold-buyers are banned as is, they get caught and wiped. I just think they should ALSO disallow GDKP’s until the gold issue is fully fixed. At least in my opinion. It’s a difficult issue for sure but it is an easy fix to ban GDKP’s at least in SoD compared to the loops that have to be jumped through to get rid of all gold and botting.
I dunno, I’m not a software engineer my experience is only through anti-bot measures in other games.

The point of discussion is that GDKPs involve huge sums of gold that can’t reasonably be obtained by one player winding up in some pot. Like they buy gold, buy gear. Gold spreads amonst a raid that go on to hyper inflate the economy. It’s like this cluster effect. It’s not just one person involved in RMT and inflating that economy now. It’s everyone else in that raid too now.

My stance is that GDKPs are inherently tied to RMT and that by tackling GDKPs, it would go a long way to diminishing the income of these gold sellers. This is irrefutable. Put two and two together please.
