Why are Wow Gift cards only 20$?

The Wow gift cards at Walmart are only 20$ so If I want to gift my friend A Brutosaur from the shop he has to punch in 5- 20$ card codes?

He will be like thanks for nothing?

I can buy a vanilla card and it will be faster, but I thought I should mention y’all are defeating the purpose of selling Wow cards retail by only having such a low dollar amount available.

I completely don’t understand it , because there probably aren’t 10 Items on the shop lower than 20$

Yeah, I hate it when friends send me multiple gift cards!

A good reminder to you all that gift cards are really bad for the environment.

And the cons outweigh the pros. Just give the person you love some gift money instead.

Your sarcasm is noted, but I am poo poo-ing the process of entering 5 card numbers for 1 item , which seems excessive, not the reception of cards.

Isn’t there a way to give Blizz Balance through the website?

Be careful with the gift cards. They are Region Specific I think and can be currency specific. As long as you are gifting in the same Country you bought the card in you should be fine.

A much easier way to do it is through gifting Battlenet Balance directly to their account or gifting the mount directly (if the shop allows it).

EDIT - be sure to include enough on a Bnet balance gift, or gift cards, to cover any taxes and feels required by law where your friend lives. That is state and country specific.

I can gift him the brutosaur, but I thought a physical item, like a card on Christmas day , might have been more of a surprise . I:E " here is your 100$ wow card to buy your Brutosaur , Merry Christmas!"

And you can, it’s just going to have to be cardS if you choose that route.

I honestly don’t see the issue personally, you’re gifting them $100 for WoW, I know I would be totally Ok with that.

If you think your buddy really would be:

I’d be thinking twice about gifting anything.

You can add personallized messages to the online gifts.

If this is how your friend reacts to gifts, I wouldn’t be getting them anything.

You shouldnt talk about buying the Bruto cuz theres about 7 posters in here who will lose their minds, call you names and might even start telling you to do bad things to yourself if you do because theyre still raging out about not having 90 bucks.

As far the gift cards I dont understand why blizzard does most of what they do lol

That would be my choice…probably the easiest.

You may be able to gift it via battlenet.

You buy the bruto and select the gift option then thier battle tag. Make sure to add them first!

Blizz balance, no. But I would have to think the OP would be able to just buy the mount himself and gift it.

Oh fuzz beat me to it.

There’s tax and the card only hits $20 you can buy 1 pet, toy or a character name change/battle tag change, but there really should be a $20-$100 ratio.

Brutosaur is $95 something with tax in my state I don’t know if it’s a flat tax for everyone else.

You can’t get anything with $20 anymore.

Yes, people can gift Bnet Balance through the website shop here. I am not sure why you would say they can’t. I linked the support article for it in my first post in the thread, along with the link to how to gift the shop items directly.

I paid $90 for my new Long Boi…my state doesn’t tax out of state sites I buy from…now if buy from a site or business that is in state of FL then I get taxed for it…

I live in Taxssachusetts.

I like how the cornerstone of this complaint is " my friend will be ungrateful if he has to type in multiple gift card numbers"
