That and OP can gift the Bruto themselves, it’s given as an option before purchase.
Real friends give 90
If someone says “Thanks for nothing” when you give them $20, never give them anything ever again.
Why not just give your friend cash? You afraid that he would spend it on something other than an overpriced mount? lol
LOL I know that state all to well …born and raised there …left in 75…Chicopee…
There are $50 dollar blizzard cards too
Once again, some of you folks have failed to realize it isn’t the $90. It isn’t a matter of “the poors” as you people like to toss around in a derogatory manner being unable to afford it.
I would think a fair number of the WoW players here that are over 20 with jobs can pay for it if they really want it. Keep in mind we’re already paying $155-$180 USD a year for the sub itself depending on how many months we’re grabbing at a time. Every 24 months give or take we’re dropping at least $50 for the expansion. Then there’s the players like me that only buy the Collector’s Edition.
I’ve been here one way or another across multiple accounts since 2005. Hell, I even have an EU account that I sometimes dabble with. What do you think someone like me has spent on WoW?
It’s never been about the $90: it’s what the $90 represents regarding an industry that slowly became more obsessed with micro transactions and unfinished games once Bethesda introduced $2.50 cosmetic horse armor to the world.
You want to buy that mount? Fine. Do it. Doesn’t hurt me. It’s your money. But if you do, be aware that you lose all right to complain the next time a gaming company puts out a half baked product with so much DLC that the extras are now more expensive than the game itself, especially in the case of a physical release with DLC that is literally ON THE DISC that requires purchase of said DLC to play it.
That’s what folks asked for over nearly 19 years. Don’t be surprised when it gets worse, especially as many of these companies (especially with sports games and shooters overloaded with cosmetics) have learned they make far more money off the 10% or so of whales with more money than self control than they do off the other 90% that only buy the base game and maybe an expansion every 1-2 years.
Your “friend” sounds lazy and ungrateful. Smarter move: Venmo them cash, they add their own balance… done.
I just hate that because of taxes I can’t buy something for actually 20 dollars
I just gifted it to a friend through bnet, they got it when they logged in. Was a good surprise!
Ironically, we did not have that problem in Alaska. No state or sales tax (since everything imported was already price scaled).
I hope they love it!
angy arizona noises
Sound like a pretty ungrateful “friend”. I would recommend keeping the money for yourself.
To each their own, but I avoid Blizzard gift cards like the plague. Even if the item you wanna buy is $20, it doesn’t account for tax, so now you need like $21, and because you can’t split payments on the shop, it means you’re now buying two gift cards, with $19 left over. And again, because you can’t split payments on the shop, you need to keep buying gift cards because that $19 is almost useless apart from covering tax.
I am in AZ too!
Like , Cigars, beer, gasoline, etc.
Then thats all your specific walmart Carries. Blame them.
I can walk into my local bestbuy and find them for $20, $50 and $100. Same for my local Walmart
I will check that out. I could use a new keyboard while i am there
Each Walmart location carries what they know they can sell. Period. It just means you local walmart was never selling the $50 and $100 cards so they no longer carry them.
Like I said my Walmarts Do. I was in the Walmart in Laramie, WY of all places a few weeks ago they had them too.
