I agree. I think dungeon runs should take longer than delves. I also think that delves are easier simply because they can be solo’d and you don’t have to put up with four strangers. The squish didn’t help either. Basically, taking the first 10 levels of mythic plus out of the equation made it just a tad tougher to catch up on for some people. A lot of changes took affect to put it in the state that it’s in today. Had there not been a squish, Who knows? I may actually be playing it again.
I did some time-walking ones yesterday and I had forgotten how fun and interactive old dungeons are… the new ones are bland and boring to be honest.
its really not. they take about 20m or so but really not a great time investment. i feel like the bigger turn off was waiting 30 minutes to get into a group as a non meta spec. half the time i was in que longer than the actual run. think youre off on this one
no just no
You can do every key this season at a +10 level in 15-20minutes if you’re good, so problem solved =)
Which time walking dungeons are interactive
You’re not gonna get more dungeons, so asking for shorter dungeons is asking for less content.
There’s better ways to address the problem blizzard created of not being able to get out of your chair during a run than cutting content.
Blizzard wants you to work for gear. I don’t think time for the run is the issue for M+, it’s the mechanics.
Personally, I don’t do M+ because I don’t want to have to study for it like a LSAT test.
However, if I want good gear…I have to do M+.
Catch 22
Study what? There are no egregious mechanics that take more than one run to see. The vast majority is “don’t stand in crap and use your utility”.
(Not to you specifically) but what people really need to realize is that M+ doesn’t become an output check until like +12s. Anything up to that, using defensives and staying alive is more important than tunnel focusing your rotation and taking unnecessary damage or dying because you’re not paying attention to what is going on around you.
5 min speedruns?
I’ve ran Mythics several times and perhaps I’ve just been in horrible groups, but if one step is out of place… it’s crap all over the “noob”. Often questions are thrown out, such as…“Didn’t you watch the video!!!” or “Did you forget the mechanics!!!” (Just to throw out a few)
And it doesn’t take just one run to understand the mechanics. It takes many runs for a lot of players.
I’ve been playing since Crusades and I steer clear of Mythics because players can be very toxic. There’s rarely room for those who don’t know the mechanics and rarely you have other players that want to help learn.
Of course I’m speaking about PUG’s, not guild runs. When we run these in guild, we help each other. However, I still don’t participate because there’s literally homework to do before we attempt the run.
This is what I have observed. It could be completely different for others.
Should add a mega mythic
The entire original blackrocks spire or BlackRock depths
2 hour timer
Most m+ complaimts basically lead to this one thing that people want but womt admit
I’d run it…once.
Just curious – where did I speak about those as being the reason I like them because they were speed runs?
Because it was the shortest one. Bang up detective work. Why not a 5 minute dungeon?
By nature most TWs are speed runs. You didn’t need to mention that.
You are connecting dots that are not there.
No where did I mention the old dungeons are speedruns and that is why I like them.
I am pretty sure I just stated how fun and interactive they are.
Just to be on the safe side, let’s look shall we?
Yup, this statement right here says that the older dungeons are not boring or bland.
No where does it even imply that I enjoyed them because they are speedruns…
In fact, current heroic dungeons are speedruns… some faster than the current time walking WoD ones.
yeah, m+ was blizzards answer to people crying they don’t have time to raid. Now they are saying they don’t have time for m+ either. I wish they would just admit to themselves they don’t have time to play, period.
yeah, this person is clueless if they think a +10 is even remotely comparable to mythic raid.
