That would be a good challenge for the art team to do and plus it would bring some life to the game.

Animation would look pretty bad, especially with those funky looking game-graphics cinematics they’ve been using a lot of.
And romance isn’t really a major plot for the most part when it comes to major characters. ThrallxAggra is like, the only exception, since Jaina’s thing is almost entirely in novels. I guess there’s Malfie/Tyrande but again, novels is the only place that’s been fleshed out a decent degree.
It’s just not the story they’re trying to tell with the game. It’s a background detail to relevant characters that you can seek out in supplemental material.

You know, sometimes i am running around boralus on my dwarf pally and I see Jaina giving me the googlie eyes! Not sure what it is but it might be LOVE.

There’s very little emotive physical interaction between NPCs. They don’t shake hands, hug, kiss, or high-five. When they dance, they dance separately. Presumably, it’s too difficult to animate anything other than slaughter.

I spent a good half hour or so helping Tyrande & Aggra get their hubbies back as they cry and attack us with bad VA. I think that sort of counts.

This is a weird statement… Why should there be more affection going around? It’s not a romance. It’s a story about a world constantly at war and at odds with each other.
Yes, some characters have romantics interests. But I see no reason to push affection just for the sake of wanting more affection. That’s not what the game, or the story, is about.

So, I googled Thrall and Jaina and “stuff” and I had to wash my eyes.
If you’re a Warlock, you can kiss your Succubus, who will react to it.
…That’s about as close as you’re going to get, and comes with a few risks like mind control and having yourself bound to the Burning Legion for eternity.
