Unless I have missed something. I’ve seen no signs of affection in this game from people. Can someone point me to a cinematic, in-game cutscene or even some dialogue where a major lore character has kissed someone?
I thought Malfurion and Tyrande were madly in love. The script appears like they’re young lovers despite being 10,000 years old. Tyrande is lost without her “beloved” yet I see no kisses. In Legion they were separated but when Tyrande gets Malfurion back…no kiss. They’re an old married couple being written like a young couple. Instead of kisses and romance we just got “Oh honey, you’re home… that’s nice.”
Sylvanas. In the short story with Nathanos her “man”, no kiss. She touches his hand and acts very flirty like she’s in third grade or something, but no kiss. Aren’t these two in love? Didn’t Sylvanas raise this man from the dead to be with him for eternity? Didn’t she define Quel’Thalas royalty and tell them she wasn’t getting rid of Nathanos when they demanded it? But no kisses? No hugs?
Where is the affected? The passion? How can I believe these plotlines when the only effect I’ve seen on screen is Jaina hugging her mother. Jaina shows more affection toward her mother than most of these “couples” in the game.
Can someone remedy this for me? Does anyone have any links?

Kissing is one of those things that are very hard to get right in animation. That’s likely the big reason.

Because it’s a world of WARcraft. We came here to kill and collect ears.

Turalyon and Alleria kissed in the novels, I’m pretty sure.

While yes, there should be more affection going around…

If anything, Legion made me believe that Malfurion’s got the hots for Cenarius more than anyone. There’s also that stuff with Xavius but that was probably non-consensual, and therefore bad.

Nathanos is nothing but Sylvanas’s boytoy. He can forever look, but he can’t touch.
I agree with your premise though. I know it’s World of Warcraft, but it’s pretty sad to think that no one really delves in to their possibly love lives.

I know in the earlier novels written by Knaak there is some signs of romance in his novels, which is nice.
It’s just currently feels like there is a several lacking despite some characters literally fighting for their loved ones safety.

Kissing is a human thing, of course. Horde side, couples headbutt eachother to show affection.

Hmm,sound like someone need some loving
You’re actually serious aren’t you?
Why do you need “kisses” in a MMORPG? This sort of thing doesn’t belong here.

I enjoy a good story. Tyrande and Malfurion along with many other “couples” aren’t even remotely believable at this point. There is zero affection between them in-game.

You say it, it’s a MMORPG, you could find all kind of things of fantasy nature and real world stuffs. We saw in this game expressions of heroism, loyalty, altruism, sacrifice, evilness, kindness, … we could have at least one expresion of romance.
