But there isn’t a constructive reason to do so. You’d be removing the melee spec or adding a 4th spec to do it, neither of which are viable.
I think your teams best route is to push for old RSV abilities in the new MM talent tree.

So instead of just pissed off old RSV players, you’ll have pissed off MM players too for having their spec watered down, great plan…
Are you saying RSV is a watered down version of MM
Not sure how you could read that into that (well in your case who knows), but trying to put RSV talents into MM would just lessen MM choices and not make either happy. Didn’t they “try” that and legion and it went over like a lead balloon (or at least they said they did)…
It’s not like they’d want to add half of old RSVs kit anyway. I’m talking 2-3 throwback spells within that giant tree.
MM will be fine and the 11 RSV fans in the community will have something more familiar to play.
Everyone wins
Right… you think that would make the RSV people happy 2 or 3 spells (ya stick with the 6 years gag at least it’s funny)… oh 11 survival’s sure you’re not talking about the non-FOTM MSV players… (you somehow think they would let MM be as mobile as RSV was?) …
MM is already extremely mobile compared to most ranged classes
If you want full mobility that’s part of BMs appeal
Bonus points for Goblin Rocket Jump 180 Disengage combo
BM is mostly a Pet DPS class not a ranged DOT (RSV was) base class (one mostly relies on the pet for damage and the other relies on a weapon at range), you even play a hunter or is that level 10 as far as you got?
Help out? Please, don’t do me any favors…
Speaking of, let me return it to you, considering many of your posts are blatant troll posts towards RSV fans, I’d say you should take your own advice about not being constructive. Especially since you seem incapable of understanding why the core fantasy of RSV was different from that of MM.
And even more so when you consider the fact that it’s not really about any argument of whether the specs were too similar or not, at the time. It’s about whether the fantasy of RSV could be developed to fit the modern game, based on modern philosophies, which it deff could.
Pets AA is a DoT by some definitions
There ya go Deflux you were meant to be BM all along
@Ghorak fantasy is subjective so we roll with how Blizzard sees it, as it is their universe
sorry forgot who I was talking too, not someone that understands hunters.
Ranged weapon - bow-gun-crossbow : shoots bang bang or twinggg… your char holds in their hands.
Pet - can have pathing issues - can be CC’ and killed…
(just a few, sure there is more but the gist of it )
Using your pet as the main source of your damage is not the same as using a weapon so no BM is not for me (plus always put me to sleep).
Thank you for your response.
Congrats, you admit you don’t understand hunters glad to help.
Please do not be toxic on the forums.
We are above the argumentative styles of the American teenager
pot calling kettle?
(too bad too I really thought you had seen the light…)
Uhm, no?
These forums are literally here for players to provide their feedback, for example, if there’s anything that can be done to a class to make it more in line with what most players want.
RSV isn’t something that most players want though
Within the hunter class? Compared to MSV, they sure do. Even the devs themselves admitted to how most hunter players prefer ranged options.
Preferring ranged options, of course. There are more BM and MM than SV.
That doesn’t mean most Hunters want Survival to be ranged again.
Do note how 99% of your arguments in favour of melee Survival are some variation of “oh well, it’s been too long now and not enough people care either way”. SV was ranged for 12 years before they made it melee and there were very few people asking for it to become melee; certainly a lot fewer than the amount of people now who want SV to be ranged. Yet they still went ahead and did it. With a change in leadership and philosophy, which this game sorely needs after year after year of disappointment and failure beyond just class design, anything could happen.
Enough with this piss-weak “it doesn’t matter” approach. I want to hear reasons for why the class and a game as a whole is better off for SV becoming and staying melee, especially given just about every positive of SV is in spite of being melee while every negative is because of it.
