Why are repairs 1000g now?

you can make roughly 5-10k a week just on weekly’s, world quests, and selling mats/vendoring armor.

do that on 2-4 alts and you’re making 20-30k gold a week. Not to mention all the other content from older expacs, those are still giving 200-400g a world quest if you’re farming rep from past expacs.

it’s very easy to make money if you simply play the game normally.

Well, my repairs are not 1K, but I also have a guild that covers those costs but my initial response still stands though.

I agree the token existing itself isn’t good for the game, but saying the token makes someone lazy is absolving them of any blame.

If a drug dealer starts standing outside my house that would make it really easy to become an addict doesn’t mean I can use it as an excuse if it happens.

I didn’t say the token makes players lazy. I said it’s there as an easy way out for the existing lazy players.

this , in FFXIV u can repair the gear yourself at anytime with a macro button , that only consume some cheap stones…but even then repairing in FFXIV isnt expensive

It’s another spoke in the wow token wheel

No, but not dying does.

Lmao so all those years and expansions before the token don’t exist? Or just doesn’t suit your narrative?

That’s after like 12 deaths though.

And 1000g is pocket change. Literally less than 5 minutes of picking up bismuth from the ground.

i was gonna say…

I can understand raiding…wiping a lot and trash and what not sure, that can get expensive.

But outside/world quests? doing delves? some dungeons? probably not doing well in that content.

No idea what you’re talking about.
Are you just defending pay2win?
Can’t tell, use your words.

I got 13k from a pinnacle chest the other day. And honestly…the only time I ever die is in raids, and on Zekvir now. (I’ve since given up on trying to beat him below 610ilvl.)

Reading comprehension is hard.

That’s fair, I just guess I am so sick of seeing people act like that is the actual literal reason blizz does everything.

I have literally seen people say “Why isn’t transmog free, oh they want to sell tokens.”

World boss WQs have always been odd with their displayed rewards, but it happens with a few others as well. They’ll have a nominal gold reward when completing them, but in those cases the ‘real’ reward is something else.

When gold’s the actual reward, it’s the same as any other WQ (slightly higher in the case of world bosses), which in TWW is at least ~800 or so. WQs aren’t as plentiful as they were in DF, but 800 for a WQ is still pretty decent.

As an aside, heroic Nerub-ar Palace bosses drop like ~700g apiece. If you get into a group that isn’t just a wipefest on every boss, that’s also decent enough gold along with the loot potential.

Right? My characters have a 1000g allowance. Any more than that gets dumped into the warbank at the end of my play session with them. If they need gold, I stop at the warbank and pull some out, but otherwise, 1000g is their allowance.

What I’ve found is after I’ve done my weekly quests, I’m usually sitting around 8-9k gold just from the rewards and, if they’re gatherers, a few thousand gold worth of mats to sell. And that’s me not trying to gold farm.

There is a gold income, it’s just not as obvious as it was in Dragonflight.

Though I still agree that the skyriding races need to be buffed back to 500g.

Oh I know… I’ve already more well over a million gold so far. So pretty set for the expansion. Would have made more with more effort.

Durability existed since Vanilla
Token was introduced during WoD.

Like Graveripper, I’m kinda skeptical that a system that’s been in game 10 years before the token was, has anything to do with the token.

Did it cost 1500g in Classic.
