Why are racist players not getting banned after being reported?

Honorable mention goes to the one right above it though.

SHOCKING!!! LOL…I snorted at this one.

Aren’t Chimpanzees from Africa? sounds like you are looking for a reason to get him banned. He is probably just RPing a monkey…

The fact that you can get away with more in game than on the forums doesn’t say that the game mods are slacking, lazy, or anything similar.

What it says is that in the wider world, outside of these insulated forums, most people just don’t care and aren’t going to overreact and go report happy over ultimately harmless and victimless things.

…and not nearly as many trolling sorts in game (compared to here) following folks around trying to bait to get them to respond so they can bang on the flag on 17 alts, lol.

They don’t but honestly think they should. Kinda like how social media gives you a decision when you report people.

When they’re in the game most people aren’t sitting around waiting to send up the bat signal on discord to alert people to someone that needs to be dog piled and reported. The urge to Karen seems much stronger around here than in game.

that my friend was not a racist but a troll abusing the system to trigger people like you.

the only way to ban them is if more people report them and guess what?? that is not happening any time soon, because not many are reporting sense he isn’t trolling that many people.

the fact that you felt triggered enough to come here in the forums and complain instead of just block them and ignore them??

just gave them what they wanted.

that is how these horrible trolls work, the best way to fight them is to block them.

I remember people making a big deal about something like wow removing the “greenskin” insult from parts of the game.

Now I get called a “two-foot” every single time I go to Ohn’aran Plains.

Much progress. Very inclusive.

Maybe the dude is an actual chimpanzee that speaks Spanish and likes talking about how cool their home is.

Dear OP,
Haven’t you figured out that you do not have to play the game with people whose views you dislike? You said he keeps showing up, so either don’t invite him (if you’re the lead) or leave if you are not.

You reported what you thought was a violation of the ToS and you should move on. It is likely possible that what you deem to be inappropriate does not rise up to the level of actually being inappropriate. Or it could also be that the report is stuck in the queue of a 1000 reports waiting for a GM to get to it.

Whatever the reason is, you control you and this means you can always remove yourself from the situation.

Its funny. there are so many quests and dialog in the game of humans hating on horde races because of their appearance, but remove greenskin and all is fair?

Also two-foot, lol… worst derivative ever

Because they base their punishment system on Quantity - not Quality.

Action by GMs on reports does lag sometimes days, or even a week behind when the report was filed. Several recent “I got unfairly banned” posts have mentioned the delay between what they said and when the account action was applied.

Starting penalty right now for chat violations seems to be a week Silence. After that any chat actions on the account are Suspensions.

How is this racist ? It seems that the first visceral reaction that you have to everything that you see, is a racial connotation, which means you’re always thinking from that mindset which actually makes you a racist, just saying. Many words do have other meanings, so perhaps you could consider this for the next time you encounter phrases that your mind wants to make into something that’s racist.

The racial bigotry is actually on life support, and is kept alive by people like you. You should start learning about the two major parties within the U.S. in the late 1830’s -1850’s, and why the abolitionists left the Whig party to form the Republican party,

My friend had to report the same person in the same week for them making threats at other players. Even tickets where GMs say something is handled isn’t always correct.

Then follow the history of the political party changes between then and now. The ideology changes dramatically. The current status is that the most active racial hate groups in the US are most active in the Republican party, and have been since the Republicans switched to the Southern Strategy in the 1960/early 70’s onward which pushed back against Civil Rights to align with a subset of the population who wanted segregation/Jim Crow laws to continue. At that time, the Democratic party shifted to be the Civil Rights party.

It was a complete reversal really and quite fascinating to study. I expect parties will continue to switch ideology and platforms in response to whatever they think will “win” an keep them in power. Wonder what it will be in 100 years?
