Sitting them is a good idea but if you’re pet or transmog hunting the new portal system is a pain in the butt
Every time they do something asinine (and they’ve done a lot since Legion), I’m more and more convinced they’re either run by morons or they’re trying to kill the game.

I am doing raiding with releases and adding to my transmog collection at the same time, I don’t see the problem really. I do, however, have lots of characters so I can park 10 at instances or at a central location until I get what I want out of those in that areas.
Been reading some of these and my problem is I’m training my shaman character from legion to current expansion and was working on the maelstrom hall for my shaman but they got rid of the maelstrom portal which means I can’t continue the hall stuff. Sighs.
However some other classes can still go to their legion Hall’s. Kind of stupid really.
your garrison portal to Ashran is still there. but only a portal to Orgrimmar/Stormwind remain once you get to Ashran
They said they would phase the portals in for players who were on their order hall quests. Meanwhile on Reddit people are already posting images being on said same quests and no portals spawning.
Small indie company. SMH.

Well, yeah, now post-patch that’s true. But those portals were there two weeks ago when I was questing there.
I’m looking at the portal right now, it’s where it’s always been.
There is no practical reason to do it. The outcome is wasting people’s time so in theory one can conclude they are simply increasing the play time metric by forcing players to spend more time Flying on taxis.
It’s one of the stupidest changes in years.

Yeah Blizz devs do not even communicated with their CMs as they are not on the same page. Sad.
Oh it’s back! It literally wasn’t there last night!
I’m trying to get to Elwynn and found there is no portal anymore to Karazhan. So I just spent 5 minutes waiting for the zepp and flying on it, and now am flying to elwynn, and wasting time because portals are ‘too easy’? or all this flying is immersive? Blizzard needs to realize that those of us playing for over the last decade already walked/ran everywhere and now have RL obligations so these fake time sinks just make me wanna quit.
In FFXIV I can teleport everywhere. Same is most mmos these days. No wonder our server pop is dropping.
