I woke up that day and picked chaos
Tempted to create alts just so I can add more likes.
SUPLEX TO TRAIN⊠Geez How did I forget about that? and by the way they made his remaster in Final Fantasy XIV.
In fact with this Blizzard already has a Boss Train for a next raid, either outside.
Or for innerside like this game.
You know, even those who were there in that expansion, which is the favorite.
It is not like that, although the second would not have wanted them to choose the Docks, he would have preferred The Everbloom more because it is an excellent dungeon where you have several paths to choose from and it is not linear, apart from the fact that there is a bonus boss where they would give some special like mythic+.
What are you talking about? UBRS from Warlords of Draenor is only 5 bosses, it only takes about 30 or so minutes to complete. Literally can look up videos of people running it on youtube back when it was relevant during the start of Warlords of Draenor 9.0 and watch them all knock it out around 30 minutes, so it would be roughly the same for M+ which puts it in the same time bracket as the majority of current dungeons.
Are you confusing it as a combined Lower and Upper blackrock spire or confusing lower with upper?
Hell, even asmonbald did a full playthrough guide back in the day during the WoD pre-patch (aka. everyoneâs still in Mist of Pandaria gear) and completed it in about 35 minutes
What a masterpiece of a game.
my biggest gripe about the train is the 2nd boss, forced to kill trash to pick up ammo for the cannon to shoot the bossâ artillery gun, and more often than not youâre just standing there waiting for another damn mob to spawn who carries the ammo for it especially if your group is good at smashing the trash down asap so then thereâs literally nothing to do just stand there twiddling your thumbs until then because they seem to be on a set spawn timer or whatever. Really annoying fight/dungeon due to this.
No. It would have a timer of 43 minutes in M+ if we use CM Silver as a benchmark (which fits for all the other dungeons).
Thatâs why voting in games like Runescape works far better than a vote like this in WoW, itâs hard to gage the difference between an invested player and someone who doesnât know what theyâre doinâ, ESPECIALLY if they donât weigh votes, someone whoâs cleared some a good number of high keys should have a better weight than someone like me who hasnât done any. I wonât vote because I donât think I can give a serious educated answer here, and itâs not fair that someone, say for example has never played any of those dungeons is allowed to vote and have it count equally. Blizzardâs trying to look like theyâre trying at least, which is a step in the right direction from âDonât bother looking like weâre trying.â
Here are the likely times for dungeons if they were to become M+ dungeons, using the metric of CM Silver as a stand-in for 1-chest timing, which fits the paradigm of more modern dungeons:
Auchindoun 32:00
Bloodmaul Slag Mines 35:00
Grimrail Depot 25:00
Iron Docks 34:00
Shadowmoon Burial Grounds 30:00
Skyreach 28:20
The Everbloom 30:00
Upper Blackrock Spire 43:00
Thatâs a LONG one for sure.
Iron Docks is looking like a âmediumâ sized dungeons and Grimrail would be potentially the shortest weâve ever seen if Iâm not mistaken.
CM timers and things on paper are one thing, but literal videos of people clearing the dungeon back when it was relevant content and people in appropriate level gear (or especially undergeared still in some MoP gear) is a better metric imo, especially since CM timers were quite comfortable to the point that casual players were able to achieve silver and gold ratings with a bit of practice or someone leading the way feeding instructions.
It was to the point that literally people sold gold carries where 1-2 people just afkâd at the entrance while the remaining 3-4 people cleared it. So especially due to this, this is why using CM timers is not a good measure of what the timers would be for the M+ versions of dungeons would be.
More proof of using CM timers as a bad metric is especially with a dungeon such as Grimrail depot, short AF dungeon yet timer for silver is a generous 25 minutes, which imo is akin to a dungeon such as Maw of Souls from Legion in length, number of bosses and amount of trash, and MoS is a harder dungeon (more mechanics and deadly threats), which people were clearly the M+ version of MoS in under 15 minutes (and top players under 8 minutes in even high 20+ keys)
Thatâs because Blizzard, predictably, broke it with class balance passes due to poor scaling in the last content patch. I mentioned Beast Mastery Hunters earlier, and they were exemplary because they got a big flat % buff to make them competitive in HFC but this was not adjusted downward for scaled content like Timewalking, or indeed, Challenge Mode, with obvious results. This is in addition to gearflation where even with reduced item level, some pieces were exceptionally powerful, notably raid trinkets (also, honorable mention to the heirloom tentacle that was so egregious that itâs STILL banned from use in instances even though it was nerfed to the ground in the ilvl squish). To the point where it was no tank, 3 BM, and an Enhance Shaman âhealerâ plus the carry.
I just flew over there to confirm my memory of the place and yeah, thereâs a lot of pulls in the dungeon. If this was tuned in the way that M+ dungeons are tuned, this would have been a longer dungeon for sure.
In a normal dungeon format or MDI-style lower key format, sure you can combine a bunch of pulls, but youâre not going to be doing those types of pulls on a higher Fortifed keys. And on Tyrannical keys these bosses are going to be chunky. I could easily see the dungeon going up towards that 43 minute duration.
Looking at gold timers is false. Stop doing that. Gold timers are the equivalent of like 2-chesting or maybe even 3-chesting.
Anywho, it is looking like Grimrail and Iron Docks are âlocked inâ at this point, so weâll see if my speculation that theyâll use CM Silver as a benchmark comes to pass.
still far less trash and shorter compared to past M+ dungeons such as Court of Stars, and that dungeon had a M+ timer of 24 minutes for 2 chest and 18 minutes for 3 chest.
Or take a really difficult M+ dungeon with boat ton of trash to ruin your day, such as Seat of the Triumverate, UBRS would be magnatudes easier and faster than that dungeon, that dungeon had a timer of 35 minutes for the 1 chest.
Even Upper and Lower Karazhan, both far larger and longer dungeons than UBRS, with timers of 35 minutes for 1 chest or 23 minutes for 3
Grimrail is one if the most fun dungeons in the game, it has a machine gun section!
Iron Docks is horribly boring and it saddens me that Auchindon or Everbloom arenât winning second place
The first part of Auchindon is absolute torture. You ever rush to the next part and the Soulpriest just⊠Doesnât do a thing since she has to be triggered at the right spot?
Iâd take upper black rock spire for the nostalgia.
Agreed! That and Chrono Trigger are still my two favorite RPGs all these years later.
Me too bro! CT was amazing. I canât believe itâs been 1/4 century since I beat it as a kid.
