Why are people so obsessed with Hunter being melee?

how it sotf or endurance training not “good mitigation”? how is having a massive health pool not “good”?

so you want passive always active DR? gotcha lol

Blizzard needs to have leech effective for all Hunter specs. A constant passive would make surviving constant AoEs or DoTs more manageable.

Blizzard took the extra healing leech gave when using Mend Pet and Exhiliration, but never gave any compensation for the loss. Longer the fight last the more difficulty Hunters have with staying alive, so a continuous heal would be a good change.

On the same note Blizzard removing Turtle’s ability to clear DoTs will make PvP more frustrating to fight opponents with multiple DoTs, and a passive heal is another benefit to combat that change.

Na some leach would be nice though

we have passive 10% leech :+1: just doesn’t work for bm

Does that work with lone wolf? Because i dont have pet passives using lone wolf, maybe my addon UI is bugged

Im pretty sure you lose all pet passives and all pet abilities while using lone wolf which the majority of MM hunters use.

No you gain FotB but loose out on all the other benefits of your pet. That’s why Leech and other abilities that pets provide should be carried to MM.

Yea thats what i thought not sure what that guy was on about.

Lone wolf kinda sucks, you lose lust, stun and pet passives. Blizzard dropped the ball with hunter rework. Basically half your bars are empty on it. They should just get rid of it if they dont want to support it

LW had it so you gain all of your pet special abilities, but then cut off and only gain 10% damage buff.

These changes are often made cause of PvP. Some designer thought that being petless forced players to play with LW.

You cant play LW in pvp at a high level. Anybody playing MM hunter without a 5 second pet stun, Freedom , sac and pet passives for 5-6% damage are nerfing themselves.

They could get it working easily, just let us use all abilities in lone wolf and make lone wolf only effect single target spells and offset it by the same amount of damage a pet would do. Basically making them identical if they want MM hunter to keep pets. Otherwise they should just remove lone wolf

LW is still available for the players who don’t like pet management, or just want the fantasy of lone archer.

why are you acting like I said something egregious lol

SV + MM gets full benefit from leech. even if we pretend for whatever reason you physically cannot avoid lone wolf, 1/3 of the spec still gets leech, and your original message was “some leech would be nice though”

You said MM hunter has leach even though Lone wolf is required for max DPS and is on every single build guide for MM hunter, which means you dont get leach. So what are you talking about?

My point still stands MM needs damage mitigation.

You arguing over the strangest things, Hardly anybody runs without lone wolf on MM especially maxing dps. So yea No idea what you are talking about, MM lacks mitigation and its because lone wolf is required and we lose leach

TFW our melee SV complaint thread is derailed to hunter survivability smh

Well people keep complaining that these posts always lead into melee vs range sv, so this way they can use that issue.

I didn’t know that I been using ‘leech’ wrong.

Verb leach means to empty, drain, or remove. The noun leech refers to a bloodsucking worm.

Leech is trash for BM and SV because of how it works anyways.

Leech is great for SV what are you talking about?

Its the fact the pets damage isn’t counted towards it. Damage should all count for leech.

well yeah pet damage should be counted for sure but SV does a ton of their own damage and we get crazy mileage out of leech

I always thought the hunter tank thoughts revolved more around being able to have some amount of “pet tanking” while not necessarily being melee yourself, no?

I agree with that, I just hate how we suffer unlike other classes when it comes to leech I guess.
