Why are people so mad with Shadowlands story?

And that’s stopped the Trolls from holding a grudge, when exactly? It’s their land, it always was. They never gave it away, it was taken by force.

The Gurubashi’s defeat at the hands of Stormwind occured fairly recently as well. They’re still the same generation and everything on that front.

Aerie Peak was founded less than 300 years ago after the War of Three Hammers, where Wildhammer moved into Amani land (Which we know Trolls don’t take kindly to).

So, why shouldn’t the Trolls be allowed to claim at least ONE thing of what is actually theirs?

Those Forest Trolls are currently in Ghostlands hating the Blood Elves and wanting their lands back. Why would they travel 3 zones over to Arathi Highlands to conquer a land that besides a few caves in south eastern corner has zero troll presence?

Like I said earlier if it makes you happy to have Stormwind castles, towers and walls in STV for you to conquer then by all means I hope you get your wish. But there won’t be any Horde reconquering of Lordaeron since the Horde is getting one reconquering already with STV.

Aerie peak is a recognizable and iconic Alliance city with unique ingame models that would be inadvisable for a Horde… reconquering of events that are from hundreds of years ago with no major character to champion its cause.

Because it isn’t theirs anymore except for STV but there is no Alliance there anyway.
If you want a reconquering event for the Forest Trolls have them push the Blood Elves into the sea as they have wanted for generations. I am sure that will make Zuljin very happy.

The Amani Empire is made up of many different forest Troll tribes, including the Amani, Revantusk, Witherbark, Mossflayer, and Vilebranch. Before the Highborne popped in Quel’thalas, Ghostlands, Lordaeron, Arathi, Alterac, and Hinterlands were their territory after their ‘deal’ with Azshara.

Want to know how I know they still care? Zul’jin rallied the entirety of the Forest Trolls to his cause to rebuild the Amani Empire. Even after thousands of years, they still say themselves as members. This includes the Revantusk, who are noted to be much more lax and peaceful than other Forest Trolls.

So, no. They’re not walking anywhere. Those tribes are already right in those zones, which you can see if you go anywhere in Hinterlands or Arathi.

The Revantusk have a leader don’t they? Primal Torntusk. Besides, this is also Rokhan and Talanji’s time to shine as well.

What a silly arguement. Okay, Ashenvale is no longer NE stuff. They lost it.

Lordaeron is no longer human stuff. They lost it.

That’s your logic. Time is irrelevant, if the Trolls haven’t given up on their land it’s still theirs.

Yeah they lost it like last expansion and its been a constant conflict zone for the entirety of this game’s life. Very different than being told by text that “thousands of years ago we owned this land but we don’t anymore

kind of different right? Thats like Night Elf players asking for the reestablishment of the Khaldorei Empire because Teldrassil was so rough on them. Thats unreasonable as you asking for Blizzard to blow up Aeri Peak or Stromgarde because Rastkhan got killed off.

If you can’t name an Ashenvale equivalent that the Trolls have lost in the past 15 years of WoW than maybe they haven’t lost much compared to some other races.

Here is the difference between the Worgen players or Night Elf players wanting to reconquer Gilneas or Ashenvale. This game was marketed to them with those lands as their homelands.
It has their aesthetics, music, origins and loads of other stuff.

In the Hinterlands the Trolls already have their city and their corner of the world. Its not occupied or conquered by dwarves that needs rescuing.
Stromgarde was re-stablished in BFA but its a really old and iconic location that every Alliance player would see as they fly past it towards the now destroyed South Shore.

Yeah, they did. So let the Forsaken have it, they deserve their own reconquering after losing their homeland.

Maybe the Trolls should focus on rebuilding those ruins instead of expanding further? As a Troll fan shouldn’t you be more interested in a revamped Troll society and loa rather than some meaningless skrimish with faceless nobodies who have no business being in STV?

Or is your aim just to troll Alliance by blowing up something iconic from the old warcraft days and Vanilla?

Edit:
Let me summarize my point here. What does the Horde lose if Worgen or Night Elves reconquer Gilneas or Ashenvale? Absolutely nothing besides some canon fodder.

What does the Alliance lose if the Trolls get their reconquer event? Aerie Peak and/or Stromgarde.
How is that fair?
Unless its STV and like I said before… have at it. I don’t care. Go to town.

So? I don’t care. I lost my stuff however long ago and I want a part of it back. It’s quite literally THAT simple. Time is the only difference in these scenarios and I think it’s irrelevant.

No, because land is land. The Revantusk and Wildhammer have been in conflict since Vanilla. The Witherbark are ALREADY once more in content with Stromgarde. They’re STILL fighting for it.

Technically both Zul’farrak and Zul’drak fall into that category, but again do not meet the standards I have set. And again, the Drakkari are gone. Zul’aman and Zul’gurub have been sacked twice, their leaders killed.

And Trolls were marketed as a race who once ruled the world. Zul’gurub is quite literally the Darkspear’s ancient city just as much as it is for any Jungle Troll.

So Stromgarde counts then? Despite it falling AFTER Lordaeron fell to the Scourge?

Hard to do that when many of those ruins are IN contested areas like Hinterlands.

And I answered you get something in return. Aerie Peak is lost, but Grim Batol is reclaimed and Dragonmaw Port is annihilated to secure the Twilight Highlands for the Wildhammer.

Splintertree Post and access to Demon Fall Canyon, where Grom sacrificed himself to kill Mannoroth.

Doesn’t that already happen?

The cosmic stuff is increasingly terrible. I hope after this expansion everything gets scaled back.

They were never yours. It was already gone before you even knew trolls in warcraft were a thing.

Really? Everybody is standing around in their city not doing anything.

Yes because they were evil and were doing evil things we the Horde and Alliance had to stop.

And Night Elves were marketed as having an empire too lol so what?

Its ruins can be seen and now its re-established.
Tell you what, find a troll city ruin occupied by Alliance and you can have it back.

In those contested lands the trolls have their city ruins they occupy and they can certainly revamp it without penalizing the Alliance player.

Alliance players don’t want a Grimbatol reconquering. They want Gilneas and Ashenvale back. And they don’t want to give up Aerie peak for some Troll supermacist fantasy lol.

Oh very true.
A new path from the barrens to the demon fall location can be made and the Splinter tree post can be moved beyond the river as a new fortress.
Or it can remain as an encircled besieged Horde holding for all time either works for me. :upside_down_face:
See compromise and you didn’t have to lose an iconic location for me to get it.

Losing any contested zone is a penalization to a player. That’s why Hillsbrad and Azshara are sticking points to this day.

So, we should accept Ashenvale’s loss with nothing in return is your logic.

Guess who cares about Aerie Peak? Dwarves. What is Grim Batol for? Dwarves.

Gilneas and Ashenvale are for the Worgen and Night Elves, not the Dwarves. Just because you don’t care about Grim Batol doesn’t mean cleansing and taking back a place of historical significance wouldn’t be something that some Dwarves may enjoy. Can I speak for them? No. I’m not a Dwarf player.

Neither are you.

OH! We can move things? You can move Aerie peak.

Sure. Its already happened.
Since you seem to be intent on penalizing Alliance players for some troll power fantasy then the current status quo is fine as it is.

To be fair, all he’s asking for is to have STV be troll dominated/held land. Not like the alliance has any legal claim to the area anyway.

Trust me, we’re aren’t loosing anything by giving STV back to the trolls :wolf:

Check the thread I told him he can have STV as much as he likes.
But he seems intent on blowing up another iconic Alliance town for his enjoyment.

I think after the dozen we already lost its time to draw line.

The dozen nobody actually, truely cares about, but will use an excuse to stick it to anyone with a red background you mean? :wolf:

Among that dozen there is Theramore, Teldrassil, Gilneas, Southshore and etc… I doubt nobody cares about them. If you enjoy Horde players blowing up Alliance stuff for their enjoyment like Azighan then you do you.
Have fun with it.

it actually hasn’t.

No one knows what Ashenvale’s status is, and likely won’t until Exploring Kalimdor comes out.

Leaving everything as is is certainly an option, but in a world revamp I don’t like it.

The Kal’dorei can have Ashenvale, the Worgen should have Gilneas, the Dwarves should have Searing Gorge, Twilight Highlands, or Burning Steppes (Maybe two of them, we need more Dwarf lore). Hell, I’d argue the Gnomes should get Gnomeregan as an actual zone that they clear out and formally retake.

The Tauren should have either Desolace or Stonetalon, the Undead should have Hillsbrad, the Trolls should have Hinterlands or STV.

I’d shift contested zones to Silverpine for the Forsaken/Worgen front, Stonetalon if the Tauren pick up Desolace for Horde/Night Elves (Otherwise Feralas can serve that role), Duskwood can move to a contested zone I guess for a Human/Troll front if STV is chosen (Arathi for the Forsaken/Troll front against the Humans/Dwarves if Hinterlands goes Horde instead)

Plenty of other things like Swamp of Sorrows or Tanaris could also be moved around as well, but should remain contested in some way.

All I did was point out that your ideas didn’t meet my qualifications. You then tried to convince me that Troll land is in fact not Troll land, and here we are.

I’d ACCEPT the STV trade if it were that. Build the Rebel Camp into a forward outpost to make things a bit more formal and there we go.

Two of them are actual CITIES, not towns. Big difference between Southshore and Gilneas in terms of devasting loss.

Really should learn the difference between a small town and the Capital of a entire nation of people. :wolf:

Towns, cities. Doesn’t matter. Still Alliance stuff. I have more fun memories of Southshore than I do Gilneas. Still got blown up for the enjoyment of players like Azighan.
If Azighan’s solution is for Alliance to lose Aerie Peak or Stromgarde for retaking Gilneas or Ashenvale as a trade I don’t want it.

Let them be in limbo. I have had enough of Horde players blowing up Alliance stuff for their amusement.

I’d take Gilneas over Stromgarde in a hot minute. That’s the city that should’ve been retaken during BfA over Strom.

Nobody cared about Stromgarde the entire time it was in ruins, but now that it’s rebuilt? Suddenly everyone’s pretending they cared this entire time. :wolf:

Good for you. I wouldn’t.
I am tired of Horde players blowing up my stuff, I will keep what I have left.

Troll land is gone. You ain’t getting it back because you never had it to begin with.

Nobody cares about Strom but you. But screw us Worgen players right? The capital of a playable race just isn’t important enough for you right?

I mean, screw the fact we only been begging for over 10+ yrs now right? Nope, gotta have that ruin nobody gave two damns about until last year. :wolf:
