Why are people opposed to duel spec?

Well respeccing isn’t just the gold cost now is it?

Apparently it is alot of gold for some people, else why would people beg for dualspec?

This argument has been posed and knocked down over and over…

A vast majority of folks arguing for dual spec here on this forum are specifically trying circumvent the gold cost of doing so.

You are in the extreme minority if the gold cost is a non-factor in the discussion.

I’ve been in several threads full of individuals that make it pretty clear the 50g is more than a simple inconvenience.

Not to mention, it works against your own position.

If it’s barely an inconvenience, then it doesn’t need to be changed.

It’s not just “barely an inconvenience”, it’s a completely meaningless inconvenience. Please tell me how it would change your game because I would be able to switch specs at the front of the dungeon instead of hearthing, flying back to orgrimmar, talking to a trainer and then being re-summoned?

It’s genuinely just obnoxious to do all that for no reason.

I didn’t design the game. Blizzard did.

I think mount Hyjal is obnoxious, doesn’t mean I’m trying to get it switched out for a better raid.

Mount hyjal remains the same regardless of dual spec.

so i guess this means that you are going to uninstall wow and delete your account when wotlk releases and people will be allowed to purchase dual spec?

If your answer to this is no, please (using logic) explain why dual spec in WOTLK is fine but not TBC.

Dual spec is a defining feature of WOTLK, and hence for an authentic WOTLK experience I would expect dual spec to be there, and I’ll enjoy using it.

Wait I have to kill the Lich King to unlock dual spec?

It is a defining aspect of Wrath right?

Incorrect, nothing about dual spec was inherently intertwined with the WOTLK expansion. Dual spec just happened to be released in wotlk because that’s when the devs finally got around to it.

Wait wait you didn’t have to kill the LK on heroic to unlock dual spec!!!

Your 2nd sentence justifies why it is lol.

Since you know nothing about the dev plans around dual spec, you aren’t allowed to use hyperbole in regard to their “urgency” or schedule around its addition.

The same can be said for TBC Classic no?

For all we know it’s already been green lighted but with all that’s going on it just hasn’t been done. Just like how we don’t know why even though the decision to add dual spec was made in classic it wasn’t actually done till wrath.

everyone I know that plays TBC doesn’t matter if PvP or PvE theres a meta and 90% of people follow it from professions, enchants, gems, consumes, talents and to some extent rotations{thought not much rotations in TBC compared to retail) and gear back in og TBC yeah it was exciting playing patch to patch testing talents and different stuff but now its mix/maxxed so much
