Why are people opposed to duel spec?

Honestly??? Yeah, exactly. Implementing dual spec sort of does take away from the excitement of WOTLK features because it definitively is one of WOTLK’s defining features.

LOL. yes and they also didn’t add LFG and look at what that did
What a unique experience. Everyone and their mother each paid $100 so we could kill 20 servers.

At least we got the classic experience! Worth it!

I love how for people like you… there is never a reason. The reason is “no changes”

Imagine if the world operated like that. “Guys it’s world war 2, I know we now have planes and tanks and new weapons… But it’s war with Germany again so get the horses and start digging trenches. No changes!”

Are we arguing about the merit of dual spec or Blizzard’s failure to manage server populations? Pick one.

It’s both but I understand how your brain can’t understand the difference.

People wanted no changes so bad that 2007 systems didn’t work in 2022. And we are supposed to be shocked by that.

Perhaps the “original intentions of the game” don’t quite make sense in 2022.

Imagine if they didn’t allow the game to run on anything but windows XP. Gotta keep it authentic! That’s basically what you’re saying.

I’ve paid 75 (+ tax) so far and anticipate probably paying another 25 to bring one more character over. And I’d still rather have done that than have LFG added. :man_shrugging:

Also this… I think most can agree server inbalance/population is a problem. But dual spec isnt/shouldnt be the solution

So your argument is that no dual spec is killing TBC, the expansion that never had dual spec, was not marketed to be specifically tweaked to have dual spec, and that everyone knew wouldn’t have dual spec long before it ever released or was even announced.

Interesting. I mean I don’t think your case is very solid but hey.

Chiming in here to point out that Zipzo is on an alliance megaserver, and therefore has no legitimate understanding about what the experience is on a dead server.

They’re coming when and if blizzard decides.

Not sure why that confuses you.

Nonsense. No expansion was marketed that it was specifically tweaked to have dual spec. At no point did wrath marketing say anything more than having dual spec. Just as your nonsense that BC was tweaked to only work with respec costs. Both games would work perfectly well with either system.

Like everyone knew that the horde and alliance pally seals would be different and everyone knew there would be no HvH battlegrounds and that the arena points would start at 1500 long before BC was ever released or even announced.

The majority of NA players are on “megaservers” but cool story.

Dual spec shouldn’t be/ and in fact wont be, the solution that fixes population balance.

But once again cool story.

I transfered off a dead server when blizzard made transfers free off of smolderweb.

Until the day I left I didn’t have trouble getting groups to do things because I made connections.

Most of the people I knew went to whitemane so I followed and went there.

But even on a dead server I wasn’t having issues getting groups until the last few guilds were transferring off when the transfers became free.

Because I talked to people, helped them with their things, exc.

The server population isn’t the only thing keeping people from getting groups. It’s also the community itself and how you interact with it that can make finding groups easy, or hard.

Lol, maybe it’s because I transferred off a sever that was massively over horde-populated??? What is this nonsense “I don’t understand” lmao, I am not an Atiesh native.

This type of connection. The connections I made never had me sitting on the bench for a month while I was used to give free buffs for the rest of the guild.

/shrug his level of play isn’t anywhere near enough to not be benched in a high end guild, but guilds like to have some extras in case of no shows.

You are equating vanilla classic to tbcc
AND
Raids to dungeons.

Apples to oranges.

And I wasn’t in that guild very long because surprise, people will try to take advantage of things and once I found out they only brought me on as a buff bot for dmt buffs, I found a new home.

What would you beg for after dual spec got implemented and you still couldn’t find tanks and healers? What would you beg to be fixed when dual spec doesn’t make the player base grow? What is next on your check list of demands that you think will save a game that never had the mechanic to begin with?

Dual spec has been asked for going on months now. It is the number one topic outside. Of botting.
If it hasn’t been added and we are already halfway through the xpac why do you think now would make a difference?

Thanks for not answering the question and proving your ignorance once again. There is no confusion on my part whatsoever - its obvious you dont know what youre talking about. This is old news though.

See, when you attempt to refute someone noting the simple and obvious truth of the matter in attempt to say they are wrong, you are unmistakably implying that a) dual specs are here or b) theyre known to be on the way and for kicks and giggle Ill give you c) have inside knowledge or are some kind of authority with regard to Blizzard and where they stand on dual specs which is to say favorably.

So again, where are dual specs?

/shrug I’m not the one making definitive statements one way or the other.

You know exactly as much as I do about what blizzard thinks about dual spec in TBC Classic which is nothing.

What we do know is blizzard is more than willing to make changes so dual spec is very much a possibility.

Every time I or someone points out original TBC didnt have dual specs so it stands to reason that TBCC will more than likely not have dual specs for that reason amongst others you take a definitive stance that says dual specs are on the table without a doubt if not already planned to go in.

You just simply deny with your right hand that which your left hand is doing. Which is not lost on anyone except you.

I will concede here and admit that yes, you know nothing. On the other hand, the fact that TBC didnt have dual specs and the fact that these are classic recreations and not Blizzards spin on private TBC fun servers is really damn good evidence that I have a really, really, really, really, really, really superb and excellent shot at winning my bet - assuming I havent already. Handicapping your odds has you at 0%. Glad we can clear that up.

Way to contradict yourself three times in a three sentence post.

“Im not making a definitive statement either way because I cant really know but I know that dual specs are very much a possibility” Just lol man.

So put your money where your mouth is genius - where are dual specs? This is the question your logic begs to have answered. You cant answer it - why? Because you are WRONG.

/shrug still waiting for you to produce anything from blizzard showing they have no intention of dual spec in TBC Classic.
