Why are people against more options?

Shadowlands is seeing the biggest influx of character creation, unique lore developments for races and possibilities of lessening over all game restrictions.

Skin tones
Eye colors
Hair colors
Facial features
Cross faction play
Long asked for races
Limb options
Changes in story
Race updates
Dropping zone restrictions
etc etc

I can not understand how giving choices, freedom and expression to a 16 year old MMO can be a bad thing. Personally I am loving all the changes and hope they add more.

EDIT: To clear some things up, this is about largely suggested options by either devs themselves or players.

I’m not making a stance on this but of course options can be bad.
If there was an option to make your Draenei bright green with a single chicken leg, it would be pretty weird.

At the end of the day, more options are great for everyone even if they implicitly force a retcon of the World of Warcraft’s lore and history. Unless those options include Blood Elves getting to look like High Elves, which are an Alliance race.

Extra options can be bad though. Imagine suddenly having pink orcs around. Plus some options in some races can step into the fantasy of another race.

They’re actually… not, they allied with the humans at one point, but the Blood elves we have now are the same High Elves who allied back in the day, It’s just a name change.

High elves are literally in the alliance currently, they just aren’t playable.

i hope they dont do these because a story is set in stone, cross faction? no. Its called world of warcraft for a reason. Ion also said there wont be cross faction play at blizz con last year so. But everything else? sure why not! more customization the better!

Not what you said in the OP.
You said you can’t understand how options can be bad.

You didn’t specify the datamined options.
You said options as in all options.

If you want it to be kept to just the ones seen on Wowhead then you need to specify that.
