Why are main story characters like 12ft tall?

at the same time having their entire upper leadership not even remotely meet the physical criteria of their elite soldiers

so yes tall people are cool in video games and fashion shows, but please don’t make it into something more than that

If we’re talking power-to-height ratio, the player character should be the ones that are at least 12ft tall, since we’re the ones that actually get anything done.

But anyway, there really isn’t any good reason to make main story characters so tall while in the game world, only to have them be appropriately measured again in the next cutscene.

It’s downright comical seeing Jaina and other characters parade around in-game with that sort of height.

True. They already do this in game with quest-related characters/items/mobs. But they’re not 12ft tall now are they?

You answered your own question but it’s something that has always bothers me as well.

Looks dang goofy as hell, I would prefer all NPCs be their normal size.

I think it’s fine for major quest NPCs to be larger, so that when people crowd around them, they’re easy to click on.

This is the exact reason, so story NPC’s can be easily seen, and interacted with regardless of crowding of whatever players or other NPC’s may be around, and it is perfectly fine personally as well.

Same reason why the main character in any Anime has the craziest hair while everyone is plain jane with their hair.

I don’t think you understand how genetics works.

There are folks that are immune to some diseases because their ancestors caught the black plague in the 1300s. There’s all kinds of genetic mutations that allow for adaptability within humans.

H sapiens has not even existed for over a million years (estimates are like 200,000-300,000 years.)

And we are still evolving and will continue to evolve so long as genetic mutation and reproduction exist.

If you subscribe to an ideology that denies the best supported theory of biology, based on over 150+ years of concrete evidence, observation and testing, you’ve been scammed.

I have an interesting and handy genetic trait.

My eyes can adjust to the dark in a fraction of the time it takes others eyes to do that and I can see in the dark. Dad is the same way. We don’t need flashlights at night… they actually blind us to where we can’t see.
