Human evolution is not “reddit tier science.”
it’s a fundamental part of biological evolution, which has been a highly successful theory for 150 years.
Do you have wisdom teeth? Likely no, because humans evolved to have smaller jaws, thus requiring their surgical removal in like 80% of adults
Do you have a laryngeal nerve wrapping around your heart? Yes, because we are tetrapods that ultimately evolved from fish like organisms hundreds of millions of years ago (as did all mammals)
Do you have a tailbone? Yes, a vestigial organ from when our ancestors were tailed mammals.
I could go on.

I’m not going to derail this thread and talk about this any further. Believe whatever you wan’t to believe, prove whatever you can. I’m just saying that an obsession with “human evolution” has been the ideological basis for many many failed movements, and a lot of them have ended in horrible tragedy for those involved.
I say this because I’m well aware of the nature of online discourse and I know what the current belief structures most likely are.
I really am fearing that this ends the way it has for many groups before, and I want nothing more than to do what I can to prevent that. But there is only so much I can do.

heightism and pseudoscientific beliefs about human evolution have been the basis for many violent and destructive ideologies… and those seriously involved with those ideologies have often met horrible ends
if gigantic video game characters trigger you, consider reevaluating some of your beliefs before you get yourself hurt

Lol I’m pretty sure it’s just to make the characters stand out better so you can see their actions in game easier for either story telling or for game play purposes. I know what you mean but also I’d be glad a npc is 12 feet tall if I’m fighting and there’s spell animations everywhere. It can be a helpful thing.

The one thing I hate though is the NPCs that are slightly slower than run speed but slightly faster than walk speed.

Sure I guess. But there’s many, many scenarios in the game where you’re on your own in a phased area with these main characters and they’re still in their unnecessarily tacky and large states and it just looks ridiculous and isn’t accurate at all to how they really look.
