So please explain to me why other classes like a priest cant shield before an arena match but mages can? Is this a joke? This was NOT in original TBC. In original TBC you can pre shield, and pre hot before a match. It was part of a zerg strategy. So again, I will ask, if the intention was to stop classes from doing this, then why do mages still get to pre shield? How did this change even make it live? Is this a joke?
Does this even matter? You start the arena and have 45 seconds to a minute before the gates open… not only that there are no mana costs for abilities used before the match
Bow before your mage Gods!
Kneel before me mortal!
Because:
Shielding right away allows the 1 min cooldown to be close to done when the match starts. Allowing you to Have 1 full frost shield on you at the start of the fight, and the second full shield only 15-20 seconds away giving you a huge advantage.
As opposed to shielding when the gate opens and having to wait the full minute before another one is available.
Paladins also can’t have a seal on until after the gates open. It doesn’t make sense how some classes abilities are limited and others aren’t
Ice Barrier only has a 30 second cooldown( and without talents). It doesn’t matter whether you bubble before the match.
