Why are level 1s allowed to talk in trade services and trade chat?

Better yet, why are non-maxed characters allowed to use this channel? There are lots of lv 1s and 10s scamming in the services channel. This should be restricted to max levels only, like the black market auction house and every other endgame activity. I’ve noticed that, on the non full pop realms, that it’s always a level 1 warrior that’s attempting the scam. They’ll use a fake guild name and will usually ask for real money. If lv 1s couldn’t use the channel, you’d see a lot less scammers because people wouldn’t want to risk their main account.

If you want to suggest it - post either in general forum or use the in-game feedback.

But ultimately, putting a level cap on in-game or forum chat really won’t stop much. Scammers, particularly those involved with criminal syndicates/gold selling etc, will simply use characters on their many compromised accounts to post with.

General is full of trolls, we all know this. There needs to be a heavily moderated forum where actual discussions can happen.

General is also monitored by devs and community managers for suggestions to be passed to the dev team for consideration.

The other option is in-game feedback.

They had a suggestion forum once. It was a complete mess, hence it was dropped.

The last time I posted in general, more than 1 person told me that general was not the place for suggestions because no devs will ever look at it. I’m getting very conflicting answers every time I want to recommend something.

Well, Blizzard has stated it many, many times themselves - devs and community managers monitor General. Part of the job of community managers is that they can forward suggestions onwards for consideration.

And, as stated twice before, there is the in-game feedback feature for suggestions too.

I suspect those in generally telling you otherwise are doing so out of malice, or they simply don’t agree with the suggestion.

Then by all means please right-click and report them. If I’m the city and I see anyone not a max level character advertising, I report them because by posting the ads on that character? They’re breaking the rules. To advertise carries and boosts, the advertising must only be done in Trade Services and the person advertising must be participating in the run they’re selling. By default a level 1 or level 10 cannot be the participant in the runs so that’s an easy R-C-R from me.

Honest question. Why could i not use my bank alt to sell itsms i hold on my bank alt i don’t want to list ob AH for whatever reason?

I have zero intentions of that alt ever steppi g dootnout of Org again. Itnis there for my personal guild bank only. Why can that toon not advertise in your proposed system?

Selling items is a different channel. I’m talking about the channel used for boosts.

For the third or fourth time… If you don’t want to post your suggestion in General Discussion, which is the appropriate forum, then use the in-game suggestion feature.

This post is from before the creation of the Services chat channel. Otherwise it states the current policy on boost and carry advertising.

If a character advertising for a raid/carry is too low for the event they are advertising, report them.

Oh i missed that. Thank you for the clarification.

They are definitely wrong, using their own opinion to shape an unfounded narrative. They may believe that because they do not see a Blue reply from a Community Manager or Game Developer to various suggestion/feedback threads, but those teams very much gather feedback from General Discussion and other forums.

The Community and Development Teams rarely will post in a discussion thread, as they do not want to impact the flow of the discussion but they are very often reading and gathering that feedback.

yeah, the moment a blue posts the thread gets flooded with people asking questions and making demands regarding their own preferences. Many times having nothing to do with the OP

That happens in almost all of my threads. People will derail the topic and it falls into chaos.

Lol. I once saw a blue post on some topic immediately followed up by a request to the blue to reduce the price of Haggis fixins. I will never forget that one.

Best to just submit a suggestion. This way someone will see it and not buried in a thread with 5 million other people trying to post their own ideas

IMO I Generally have zero interest in any ingame chat so I Disable it completely. yes even in keys as its not really needed if your doing your job. Also you can report the scammers and who knows the gm might send you a thank you letter letting you know they have dealt with it.
