They couldn’t figure how how to scatter shot defensively or refrain the urge to force traps at inopportune times and kept getting punished for it so they gave them a few extra walls to enable this poor play.

They went from having really bad defensives to having way too many to cycle through. They just need to prune back some of it. IMO they don’t need 2 charges of survival of the fittest. All hunters just run the mortal wounds pets because there’s no reason not to. Make them have to run a tank pet to get better defensives, so they actually have to sacrifice offense for it. Right now they just don’t really have a major drawback to also consistently demanding top damage. They’re a caster who can’t be kicked, and one of the few classes that get a stealth opener, one of the only ranged with a mortal wounds effect (and I think the only one that just applies passively with zero input from the user). Not to mention absurd CC that can be used while they’re in CC of their own. They were fine when they were a glass cannon that got trained, but they complained enough about that so they got all the defensive perks without losing any of their damage.

They did it for pve reasons specifically for Mythic plus from what I read back when they were implemented in beta. Which is why Hunters now have it in pvp.

There are 4 serious problem specs atm and hunter is one of them, everything else is just minor tuning/not even that bad.
Probably not going to be addressed til November, if at all.

This is true. Hunters were complaining all of DF because their lack of defensives sort of boycotted them from really high keys.
