Why are high elf fans so obsessed with being sidekicks

In every high elf story so far the fanbase seems to believe somehow it is okay just to be a glorified sidekick to the humans and they are fine with that. I don’t understand this really. Why are you people happy with just being a second grade to the actual protagonists of the alliance story? The elves of Quel’thalas never had their own plot until they became blood elves. That is a fact. You bring shame to your people by throwing yourself at the next best male human paladin all the time.

As far as I’m concerned, the best High Elf story that I’ve seen has not happened in the actual story but in Turtle WoW, funnily enough. They established an actual society & city for themselves, a home for their own. Alah’Thalas.

Most Helf fans aren’t fans of specifically the high elves of WoW, they just want to play a generic white elf on the generic fantasy side.

Obviously there’s exceptions, I do not speak for anyone in particular. But I’ve had way too many conversations that basically ended in "But its like that in LOTR :frowning: "

So they are the most bland and boring type of fans with zero creativity got it.

I’ve never had conversations with high elf fans that ended this way, but I wouldn’t be surprised at this.

Those private servers exist are coping mechanism for alot of fans who can’t accept the canon story.

That I agree with, but I’ll recognize quality when I see it.

I havent seen actual high elf posting in months. Feels like someone is just looking for a fight.

Currently they are at the stage where they demand Silvermoon. You will see me shame them for this.

The question is… where?

Like this is what i mean, no one is talking about this besides in response to you.

Well suspect that if this continues to escalated Blizz might just put High Elves as Thalassian Elves and add a sub screen for the the other sub races… and if they make them neutral… they will add a description under Blood Elf and Void Elf:

“They have strong ties to X Faction, but since Azeroths has been in constant thread as a United Nation they decided to let their Thalassian Adventurers and Champions choose what faction to aid, etc etc… or something on does line like other fantasy games do”.

I’m very curious to see how all this show up in the game more than ever, what type of direction Blizz will take with the rebuilt of Silver Moon.

He hasn’t taken his meds yet and is making up fictional people to yap about.

Coming from the king of fan fiction posting, that’s a riot :dracthyr_nod:

Indeed it is. Varodoc calling what others say fanfiction while repeatedly posting his own is peak irony.

I know Erevien is a bit extreme, but he is pretty good at calling blizzs next move :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

The Silver Covenant helped commit a whole ethnic cleansing. They may be sidekicks, but effective ones.

Everyone is at best a human sidekick.

Go on Wowhead and look up the word “savage”. 103 NPCs, 52 NPC abilities, 1 Racial Trait, 2 Companions, mounts, talents, etc.

Millennials take everything seriously, this generation can’t dissociate a videogame from reality.

Well guess what, you’ll be looting the Amani in Midnight again, so best get used to it.

High elf fans want Silvermoon to be neutral so they can pretend they always had a claim to it. Other cities don’t do that of course since it is about flying the lion banner in the streets and they can impress their masters in Stormwind to reclaim which they believe should always have stayed alliance territory.
