Because lousy 252 gear and some offset pieces in random BGs isn’t cutting it for people who don’t have mains to send gear that makes them overgeared for BGs with.
Imo you got it right with the WotLK Pre-patch pvp catch up mechanics. DF not-so-much.
Anyway, I don’t recommend BGing unless you love it like me, on your new Evoker, lacking a main that can send gear enough to let you compete.
They have a lot of gear/loot bugs, but the expansion drops in 2 weeks. 
Won’t matter much soon. Experiment, have fun for once or something

I sent my Evoker 49 conquest boxes and a got a full set of gear XD
yea me too but it’s still dumb no one can buy gear
I’m excited to play these Evokers, gear aside… These charge abilities just feel strange. I’m having trouble sticking to a smooth rotation. I feel like I’m going to subconsciously “charge” my cast abilities on my casters after playing the Evoker for an extended period.
Getting like 70-90 hks per 10 minute normal battleground because teams are like half 40k hp evokers who’ll use deep breath to bring their skulls into convenient bludgeoning range.
i mean not everyone is a pvp junky like you dude. Hell probably only <10% of players can do what you do.

To be fair. All that conquest gear should be purchasesable by honor. But eh blizzard just doesnt know how to make great dicisions lately…
You still need renown to upgrade the honor gear. Shadowlands was the worse wow expansion ever made.

Just got out of an AV BG and an Evoker topped the charts on everything. So in this case, that Evoker was punshing everyone.
I always forget most people on the bg forums are epic bgers
Most Evokers are getting destroyed because people don’t know how to use all the abilities . Plus the weird 30 yard range takes so getting used to especially against other casters
