Why are elite sets restricted to the season?

I wish they’d use old PVP sets by some player polling seasonally as a higher rated reward. All these assets just gathering dust and making the art on 50 viewer streams seem more special while we have a real problem with lack of reason to play the game between 2400 and 3k and have for 6 seasons. They might as well imo

OP is clearly a troll, anyways Blizzard will never do this so no reason to go back and forth with.

Oh yeah it trully is, 100% hit the nail on the head with the flavor of the class with this set, angel vs demon, demon mixed angel, angel mixed demon, half horn and broken halo.

I wish they would remake that set in HD, but not change anything, literally copy paste it and make it with all the skills and less restrictive limitation they have now with more 3d pieces.

the recently recoloured all of those sets with mage tower tho

Yeah, yeah, I know, I just meant that I thought the whole line of “remastered” t6 from Tomb was super cool.

Who cares about elite sets, we need to petition blizzard to let 2200 MoP players transmog red wep enchant even if they didn’t get duelist

I thought it was 2400 in mop and 2200 in wod?

If I wanted to get double digit IQ zoomer takes about old cosmetics, I’d lurk GD. You are not going to win any support here for making old 2k sets available for purchase regardless of what ratings you manage to hit. Go back to your containment forum.

Nah, other way around. As I recall in mop you’d exchange a weapon enchant (like dancing steel) for the red equivalent from the vendor (bloody dancing steel), whereas in wod you’d get a velem/tome item that could be used on your weapon for like 1k conquest.

Now, the rough part is that when they converted to the new illusion system in the Legion pre-patch you needed to have a velum/tome from the wod vendor (2.4k rating to get red or blue glow) and keep in mind that there was finite conq cap rollover, so it was possible to run out of conq if you bought the full set, elite set, offpieces, etc.

Some people learned too late that you needed to keep an extra glow item in your bags.

Then there’s mop where people just didn’t get it at all, so they put it on that vendor if you were duelist/hero because that’s their only way of kind of MAYBE knowing that you qualified. Then they didn’t let people with wod stuff buy red glow even though they qualified for it because wod enchant was blue, but you could get red as well.

tldr Mistakes were made and a lot of people lost out on cosmetics they either owned (had on an existing wep) or qualified for but neglecting to purchase, etc. Sad time all around.

Maybe you should spend less time on the forums.

The one brain cell being passed around here can’t fathom that one. Old pvp sets would incentivize new players to get into and stick to pvp rather than fomo andys looking to hit 1800 once then quit. I know I’d be a lot more invested into it if I could get more than one tmog set every 6 months but those who want to rp as a Barbie don’t want others to have their look if “they didn’t earn it back in my day”. Pretty sad they choose rewards over something that would help rekindle a dying community.

Then again, I guess that would hurt the boost sales if no one out there had to panic-buy a boost.

Oh man everyone disagrees with ya so you get super triggered and start throwing insults eh? Classic

It most definitely would not. You know what would get people to que? No rating locked gear. Faster capping each week. No endless PvE grinds.

Let’s stop coveting what other people have. Hold Blizzard to a standard that new mogs are quality that people want. Then go out and get those.

If they devalued the few sets I have by handing them out to people who didn’t earn it if actually be incentivized to quit.

Again what?! Man your takes are sooooo fried. This would help boosts. Holy moly man.

Because elite sets are meant to be a trophy for that specific season and to give middle tier players a trophy to aim for.

u can just get most elite sets from the mythic raid of that season, which is arguably harder to get when it’s relevant.

cant u get vanilla sets for doing rbgs randomly too?

not surprised peoples inflated egos get attached to a set recolor tho, gotta latch on somewhere with all that reach.

Eh, it’s more along the lines of someone worked and earned something. You didn’t. So why do you deserve it? Stop being greedy and expect Blizzard to make new mogs that you actually want to get.

pretty sure boosts would be like 1000x more popular / frequent if you could get old sets for rating

“worked”

You have no idea what hard work is. 1800 is not hard to get, 2k is not hard to get.

Seethe and cope

This is the correct opinion

You tell me mister level 10. People put in the work and got it. You didn’t. Get over it. Isn’t envy a deadly sin? Lol stop coveting what others have and put in the effort to get stuff before it goes away. There’s also lots of stuff still in the game for you to get that hasn’t gone away. Why are you so obsessed with what other people have?
