Why are class trainers still in the game?

Why are class trainers still in the game if we get every spell handed to us for free without having to go to them anymore to learn them?

They let you access the proving grounds.

I feel like this thread has been made before, but I’m probably thinking of another one with a somewhat related topic.

Not anymore, you have to go to your Garrison for that.

Well, now that you brought them up. They’ll be gone next Tuesday.

My guess is RP value

Instead of vanishing powder, I’d like to see them be the point where you switch glyphs.

Seeing trainers in retail not only makes me remember the good days, but it also reinforces my stance for why Blizzard needs to reverse a BUNCH of the changes they did for the casual gamers.

I.E giving us spells for free, without having to learn them, the feeling of going to a trainer and learning the abilities, and seeing the talent tree and all the different builds you could make, such as SL/SL Warlock, those were far more engaging and interesting than what we have now.

I really miss learning abilities via the trainer. Even without skill ranks it’d be a nice little bit of immersion.

I know, it felt like an actual “world” its one of the many reasons that made WoW what it was,
Most popular MMORPG of all time.

Hush, cities don’t need to lose flavor NPCs more than they have already

I’ve never found interrupting my levelling to pack up and travel to SW to go learn kick (or rather continually forget to go get it between dungeons) immersion

It made sense for the 10-20 (maybe 10-30) range since this was starting zones, past that it got a bit silly yeah.

Exile’s reach at least handles class training well

how many classes do you play?

…because there are plenty who will send you to PG

Well even if you didn’t find it immersive, enough people did for it to make WoW what it was, and them changing it is why WoW is what it is today.

Remember the days of commercials, Mtn Dew promotions, and Night Elf mohawks? Yup
