Why are Barthilas Horde leaving for Frostmourne?

Honest question.

Noticed a lot of guilds are jumping ship from Barthilas over to Frostmourne. What’s the reason behind this? Is it purely because there are more people on Frostmourne?

Really saddens me to see Barthilas in decline.

Because the game is dead

Best oceanic guilds are on FM. Best players are on FM. Do the math

I have to agree with you here Aehl!

Best players used to be on Blackrock pre Oceanic servers.
Nobody wants to play on a dead server. If the best of Asia is playing on Frostmourne and that’s where the latest circus has set up, the clowns will follow.

Come August 27th all BFA servers are going to be ghost towns for awhile…the masses have spoken.

erm, you mean best Alliance guilds are on FM.

Barthilas has been the main oceanic horde server for a very long time, it would be strange that horde would xfer to FM en masse.

Many horde guilds have moved over to FM Alliance since the start of 8.1

Just look at wowprogress and the recruitment forums. Many of the high end Horde raiding guilds have died off or transferred.

oh, to FM Alliance, that’s different then, and unsurprising

I guess the game is just slowly dying hey, blizz haven’t addressed population condensing properly at all

Guilds went to Frostmourne because they were struggling to recruit (I was in a guild that decided to xfer). Oceanic needs server merges so badly, but Blizzard are making too much money out of transfers that they won’t which is funny because in turn it’s s$#t like this that kills the game…

Best of both worlds plus you get all the perks of being the “underdog faction” whilst being the dominant one thanks to they way Blizzard determines things like AoO.

Everything is easier for alliance and they out number horde while still getting the extra war mode bonuses.

Why wouldn’t they?

Blizz have no reason to address it because it’s highly profitable. Players & guilds transferring = $$$$$$ for Blizzard. The more transfers the better.

The same thing is happening on NA on a far bigger faction-wide scale. Most top guilds have switched over to horde for the bigger player pool, and they’re all condensing on Illidan/Area52/Tich. Those 3 are the biggest servers in the world right now, with something like a 20:1 horde:ally ratio.

Blizzard is loving all that transfer money.

Correct. More players = larger recruitment pool, more guilds, more options and flexibility for raiders. It only brings benefits.
I’m actually surprised it has taken so long for the playerbase to start condensing into a few mega-servers. This should have happened 10 years ago.

… Becase you get mode buff and 85% of OCE IS ALLYs so why wouldnt you Ill say by patch 9.0 there will be 5% horde plays on OCE at this pace

is this true?? I thought barth had the most horde players so I created a new horde on the server…

Yeah wondering that myself was about to roll a horde toon to see what life is like on the other side… and wasn’t sure if to stay on deadmaul, change to barthilas or now completely left field it and move everything to Frostmourne including my Ally toons.

Barth is the biggest horde server but in terms of raiding at least it is a shadow of frostmorne. Last I looked there were only a couple of guilds on ashara compared to frostmorne where there are like 15 working on her and a handful have already killed her.
It makes recruiting pretty hard when there are hardly any raiders left to choose from

If it is the biggest horde server it would have to still have to the most active raid scene for horde wouldn’t it?
