Why are Azeroth's moons always full?

Before the globe in halls of lightning was revealed, I was convinced Azeroth was flat for this and other reasons

If only those globes were canonical…but they aren’t. There are an awful lot of major landmasses missing from them – Pandaria, for instance, which the Titans and their minions obviously knew about.

Because Azeroth doesn’t move.

You can actually see Azeroth from argus and while it’s rather obscured, you can clearly see the positions of the two major continents

Because making the Worgens play once a month would be mean.

they took the moon phases and used it to power the sharding other phasing annoyances on Azeroth

The fact that it’s the same time of day on every continent disproves the whole “Round Azeroth” theory. It’s a myth perpetuated by NASA. That’s why all the maps show Azeroth as flat!

Because my goddess Elune demands that it be so

Don’t try to make astronomical sense of the skybox renderings in WoW. It’ll drive you nuts. Believe me, I’ve tried. If you really want to torture your inner astronomer, go to Hellfire Peninsula and try to make astronomical sense out of what you see in the sky there.

The universe that the World of Warcraft takes place in does not act like our own. Many reasons this is so, just look at outlands and how its a chunk floating in space, has its own gravity, but if you jump off, you keep falling rather than just walk over and around it until you reach the under side. Another example is Argus being pulled to Azeroth’s locale. If that were to actually happen, a planet being pulled through space at such speeds, that would throw celestial bodies out of place and orbit.

Think of Azeroth as more of the “Earth is the center of the universe” idea, where the sun actually orbits Azeroth.

Side note: The Elder Scrolls universe also acts in ways that make no sense in our own

Its the light of Elune… no really its Elune… she’s lighting up the night sky witb her nearly inperceptable light and it causes both moons to be in a perpetual state of fullness

When was the last time you saw the blue moon?

You know … I actually don’t remember when the last time I saw the blue moon was. I haven’t been paying much attention. I just remember it from past adventures. Did the blue moon get swallowed by Argus or something?

Blizzard couldn’t even figure out how to have two moons in the sky for how many years. This aint their strong suit

Sure if you believe in science and stuff but I voted against all that nonsense.

I honestly don’t remember when blue-ball went away. But its been a while.

The Blue Child actually does show up from time to time. It’s not missing or forgotten. People just don’t bother to look for it. They also tend to forget that as with Earth’s Moon, both the White Lady & the Blue Child can appear in the daytime sky.

That is true.
