Why are all these MM hunters crying about losing their pets?

People saying itll be bad before even trying it are nothing more than pessimistic cry babies complaing about change.

Most of the complainers dont even play MM or play it at an insignificant level.

Its literally akin to a child who is now crying to play with a toy theyve not touched in years just because someone else now wants to play with it.

Im sorry but “i want a cute kitty to tank for me in world quests” isnt enough of a counter point to halt changes to a struggling spec.

I play MM. At the level I play doesn’t matter, since the majority of the player base doesn’t do the high level stuff to begin with. Our needs and wants still matter.

Survival feels and plays great right now. Also has way more representation than ever before. You might be operating on an outdated perception of the spec.

Game design is often from the top down. Not always, but often.

So the majority of us suffer so that minority can get a fraction of a percent better?

ignore mafic, if a spec doesnt play like its poop classic version then its dead for him

Who knows. Their pet does NOTHING, it cant hold hate from marks its literally just dps white dmg. There is zero reason for marks to even have a pet. The new iteration at least makes a pet useful.

Health regeneration, not more health. There is a difference.

Currently the marksmen hunters’ pets can tank. They are not powerful at it, but they help prevent marksman from becoming a melee range spec. In comparison, real world snipers are supposed to have an assistant to prevent the all so common film troupe of sneaking up on the sniper.

My bear currently has 4.5 million additional health. To give me equivalent regen to match that, coupled with the tick of mend pet would make us tankier than tanks are.

Marks pets cannot hold hate even past the inital aimed shot.

Depending how much dps you can muster. If you got top gear, you probably got that from raiding, and I understand that in THAT environment pet usage are rarer. When I am out questing and doing delves etc when there is no other tank around, they seem to hold aggro just fine. The problem is rather their survivability.

Except it does a ton, in different game modes, as it was already explained, so it have many reasons for then to have it, you are just ignorant about these reasons and game modes, read more the thread and you will know about it

Survival participation is still low. That is like saying Outlaw is at an all time high when it is still low.

Survival participation is low because it’s unpopular, not because it’s a bad spec. It’s at an all time high, by far, since seasons 3 and 4 of Shadowlands.

The rework has always been unpopular like for Outlaw and now MM.

Thanks for proving my point.

I better see all you naysayers on the PTR giving blizzard specific pain points for the new version of the spec. IE content that you are no longer able to do or things that feel unreasonably difficult. Maybe certain mobs or bosses need their toolkits adjusted if we cannot kite or cc them. Or if we are running into issues with sustaining combat between healing cds. Otherwise this is just useless blather.

I didn’t prove your point at all. I did the exact opposite. Survival has seen a major increase in their numbers since the rework and is a solid spec. I can’t speak to outlaw and no one can speak to MM, so thanks for making it easy to ignore you.

The naysayers will never provide feedback with any value, because “change bad”. I’m realizing why I haven’t used the forums over the past 5 years after the cesspool of a discussion the official feedback thread is (very little valuable discussion was had).

I’m excited to get double tap back and for the new pvp talents. MM should be pretty fun with these talent changes.
