I am on a pve server, never mark myself for pvp (unless in a bg) and am still marked pvp for non stop. I mean hours later I am still marked pvp. Just got killing in sholzar basin by a horde because I didn’t even know I was marked and hadn’t been in a bg in over an hour and didn’t interact with anyone. This is not the first time this has happened either.
If your name is green you’re flagged.
Did you join a group with someone flagged? I think that happened to a level 1 horde of mine in ratchet once, and I couldn’t figure out how I got flagged too until I remembered I accepted an invite from some flagged players.
I can’t confirm any of this though, just postulating a theory.
None of those things applied, but I just googled it and apparently if you have some quests in your log, you are marked for pvp. I never marked myself, wasn’t playing with anyone and had no idea I had those quests. Typical blizz nonsense, which is why the game is doing so well.
PSST: If you have PVP quests you are probably likely PVP flagged ![]()
It is your destiny.
Embrace it and fight.
Yes, it is the Icecrown pvp quest (No Mercy) or something similar.
No Mercy, I’m pretty sure is a daily that triggers it.
If you’re an engi and throw a bomb at malybro, it triggers pvp. Sappers are fine though.
If pvp is enabled, don’t use the UI to turn it off. Manually type /pvp to disable it. Idk if that’s just a SUF problem or not, but can’t hurt to say it anyways.
If you have the PVP daily quests from Grizzly hills you are set to PVP as long as they are in your journal regardless of server type.
You have to do the quest or abandon them.
I love when people say things like this after failing to understand a game mechanic that has existed for 12 years. You accepted a PvP quest, and so were flagged for PvP. It’s ok to not know things, you don’t have to blame it on blizzard just to save face lmao
anybody’s fault but their own don’t be silly
The UI did used to warn you that you would be flagged for PvP so long as you had the quest, and it no longer does this, so that part is on Blizz, but otherwise you’re right.
You probably have a quests that marked you and until you complete it or drop it you will stay marked
So what you are saying is you just accept quests without reading them but yet it is blizzard nonsense. While I am no fna of blizzard to say that WoW isn’t doing so well is not correct. Compared to other expanisons in the past, sure I agree, but as a whole WoW is still quite successful after all these years.
Ive played since day one of vanilla and that had NEVER happened on any of my 10 toons that I play. Not once until the other day. Welcome to ignore troll.
Yep, I said that in the post above yours. Thanks
I love how a quest can flag you, but only after you zone into a completely unrelated instance. And only sometimes. It’s awesome.
Except you can pick up the quest, like, hours or even days prior. Then zone into an instance UNFLAGGED and it flags you. Go ahead and try it yourself.
And reading the quest will not inform you how?
What? Where in the quest does it say, “Accepting this quest will flag you when you enter EOE.”
