There has been so many shutdown for maintenances going on lately, i know normally happen on Tuesday, now started to happen so often. This have something to do with the new xpac?
Hopefully itâs so they can un-screw tank Brann.
Bug fixes.
Imo itâs a good thing they are being so proactive in fixing things.
And itâs only an hour vs all day. If it makes things better, I donât mind it at all.
Well clearly yesterdayâs downtime was due to âfun detectedâ by healers in delves, and they did a targeted destruction of this fun activity. My guess is that they detected some other type of fun going on in their game, and now feel they must destroy it, though I canât for the life of me think of what it is - they have done a bang up job of destroying all fun in the game over the past few months, so I find it hard to believe it still might exist.
What we know for certain is that itâs not to fix bugs like the AOE loot bug thatâs been in the game since launch, or to fix server lag thatâs been a major part of every new activity in the game since the launch of Dragonflight. Maybe theyâre going to add a few thousand more exploding spores into delves so that delves are miserable for even the specs that can move constantly. My bet is that weâll never know since they rarely document the changes they make any more.
Why do you play a game that you say isnt fun? That seems weird to me. Most mature, rational people wouldnt do that.
I think they do it to read the meltdowns on the forum lol
And everything else they messed up.
I do play time to time, sometimes this happen when i cannot play. Some of us do have a job or two to make a living. When this happened, i ended up doing something else for wasting money
I played ESO awhile back, they are having the same problems too. As long it is not down for half or all day long or i may ended up finding another game or two to hang out instead of this one.
Bug fixes and tweaks.
While I appreciate the cadence theyâre managing for releasing content, theyâve clearly shifted to a Microsoft Agile development cycle.
This means that they release whats called a Minimum Viable Product, then fix it in production.
As much as TWW has been good (not nearly DragonFlight good), itâs probably one of the buggiest, unbalanced, and messiest releases theyâve ever had. Thereâs very little polish, and itâs clear a lot of the mini-game content is rushed as a basic as possible. (SCRAP piles, RUSH Hour jobs, broken bosses, broken mini games, boring content like fixing the machine, etc)
this unfortunately results in the need for additional maintenance time off schedule when big bugs or changes are required.
Very common after a major patch. I think itâs just an hour today.
They aura nerfed Elemental by like 20-30% with yesterdayâs hotfixes on accident. Restart it a thousand times if they actually fix things in the downtime.
Someone on Reddit did find out that if you didnât turn in the sparks quest from the catalyst on week one you could get two sparks by this week because it wouldnât put it together that you received one half of a spark or something like that.
Many canât consume Brannâs XP chunks.
Considering the mythic raid has already been cleared by exploiters, I reckon there might be a few bugs that canât be simply hotfixed.
Inept apathy.
They plainly lack the skill amongst themselves to be programming this game.
âWhy is everything always broken with so many bugsâ
âWhy is there so much maintenance to fix the broken things and the bugs?â
Forums, I swear to Metzen . . .
They found that healers were still able to do tier 2 delves, so todayâs maintenance is to disable healing in delves entirely.
I donât mind all the downtime.
I DO mind that the banner notification has referred to these Wednesday maintenance down-times as âscheduledâ.
Scheduled where? Since when do we expect down-time on Tuesdays AND Wednesdays (in the NA region)?
Scheduled last night.
Why do we need a debate on the definition of the word âscheduledâ every single time this happens?
Itâs standard after a major patch. Donât worry, in no time it will be back to typical Tuesday as usual.
Scheduled for 7-8 pdt, nothing too complicated here.
