Archer-Phrasing!
To be fair, it’s sort of a valid complaint, like with a car, anything with as many parts as something as massive as MMO software has, and as inevitable as something breaking is, Kotick cut the entire QA staff who would normally source out the majority of bugs before they became an issue and run testing internally so that they know what is broke and how to put out faster fixes.
Without Quality Assurance, as the name implies, Quality is indeed NOT assured.

Because they don’t know whats wrong with their game so they can never fix it in just one Tuesday morning.

world of warcraft has entered it’s twenty first year. it is old enough to drink legally.
for humans, it’s the beginning of their life. for a game, it’s retirement. it’s entering nursing home age.
They whine when there are bugs and they whine when the game goes down to fix them.
I guess Karens are going to Karen
yeah, whats up with all these maintenance?

You can’t satisfy these people
When there’s an issue that needs to be fixed, they do maintenance.
It can happen at any time. Most weeks have a planned maintenance period, but sometimes they need to do more if something needs to be changed that can’t be hotfixed.
This has been the case since the game first went live in 2004.

If it is posted ahead of the actual maintenance it is scheduled.

Considering theyve had 21 years to fix where they’re struggling in the company and have only gone downhill its safe to say nothing is planned

Because apparently they are incapable of testing their game properly before deploying patches.

Tell me you’ve never worked in game development or programming without telling me.
Seriously, some of you people need to lay off the haterade.

for every maintenance we should get 20 cents back. at the end of the month easily 5 bucks in our pocket

Or they could use the months and months of PTR to properly test and fix things before release… It’s crazy how many bugs and balance problems exist for the entire PTR cycle and don’t get addressed until after launch.

WoW is served up with Stone Age Tech. This way the CEO and their Trolls can collect all the Gold .

I would assume it’s to fix something that was broken.
I know, it’s bold of me to assume, but I’m going to stick by my hypothesis.
I just hope they don’t break more as they fix.
