Why add dumb restrictions?

Why is it that almost everything blizzard adds there’s always a catch. This isn’t some game breaking thing but I was excited for all the new soulshapes coming in 9.1.5 then they announced that you can only use them in rest areas. Why do they have to ruin something by adding some dumb restriction on it? they always shoot themselves in the foot with something.

In that case…
Why give DHs meta form, and restrict them to a short duration and long CD?
Why is cheetah form also restricted? You can’t even use it once you have flying, except in SL where you can’t fly.
Why are mounts restricted to a cast time?

Because this is a game with rules not a frickin’ free-for-all.

Entitlement and Ego At Its Worst

What gives people the right to start a game with basic principles and rulesets, play it for awhile, then demand certain things change because they want. Examples: Void Elves should be able to look like High Elves Faction should be removed M+ shouldn’t have timers etc, etc, etc… Play the damned game as it was intended and stop demanding that every one else change because of your own selfish, narrow-minded perspectives. Yours is not the only opinion that matters. And if that doesn’t sit well…

I mean rest areas are the only time you can actually see them for any length of time and also they’re super small so that might have something to do with it.

Maybe they didn’t have time to finish them and they figured rest areas are better than nothing? I’m not saying that’s true. There might be a good reason. We’ll never know what it is, but there might be one…

Same thing with the Night Fae portal to Oribos… I thought it was a two-way portal, but it only ports you to Oribos. What the hell is the point of that? I can just set my hearth to Oribos, but now I set it to the heart of the forest for anima dumps and quest acquisition and just port to Oribos from there. Kind of an added, unnecessary step when I don’t need anything from the heart of the forest…

This size restriction is for “Crittershapes” and it is due to PVP hit boxes… All “soulshapes” are usable everywhere according to the notes. Thanks for sharing your concern though.

PVP is not a good excuse because that means gnomes, goblins and mechagnomes are OP.

But you DO need something from the Heart of the Forest - you said it yourself. Anima dumps and quest acquisition. Now if and when those needs go away, then by all means set your hearthstone to Oribos but until then, you do need to go do HotF.

Shrink toys still work in world PVP and unrated PVP so yeah not a good excuse.
