One interesting thing I’ve noticed over the years is Blizzard’s penchant to add content no one asked for, while ignoring the huge requests from players.
Takes races. Sure they add some, like Zandalari, Dark Iron Dwarf and Vulpera. But then we get abominations like Mechagnomes and whatever the hell these Dracthyr are.
Where are the Vrykul, the Ogres, and Tuskar. Heck even the Sethrak had some pretty big interest in BfA.
I don’t get it. What other company pushes out products customers never wanted while ignoring their long time requests?
Sometimes i feel that Blizzard’s like Liz Hurley in that movie where she plays the wish granting devil, always delivering on wishes but never exactly how the person wants them to be, we want new races and we get ones that wouldn’t have even cracked a top 10 poll from the community, we want flying as soon as we hit level cap just like how it was at the start, but we get this new gated dragon flight mechanic lol
Vrykul are just big humans that lift with a Viking theme, so they’d not be anymore interesting than the Kul Tirans.
I think the biggest problem with Orcs is theme trying to figure out what a female ogre would look like with the physiology they’ve had for the past 18 years without it being something scarring and meme-able.
Tuskar I’m not entirely sure. There use to be a lore reason that they couldn’t leave the cold climate of Northern for very long without dying; don’t know if that is cannon any more.
Sethrak are no longer relevant, and it was hard to justify them when they were a race that helped both the alliance and horde back when they possibility of being an allied race was there.
