Why’s they add a race no one asked for?

One interesting thing I’ve noticed over the years is Blizzard’s penchant to add content no one asked for, while ignoring the huge requests from players.

Takes races. Sure they add some, like Zandalari, Dark Iron Dwarf and Vulpera. But then we get abominations like Mechagnomes and whatever the hell these Dracthyr are.

Where are the Vrykul, the Ogres, and Tuskar. Heck even the Sethrak had some pretty big interest in BfA.

I don’t get it. What other company pushes out products customers never wanted while ignoring their long time requests?

It’s so strange to me. I just don’t get it.

People have been asking for playable dragons since vanilla when they didnt even know what a Vykrul was.

Well, the Tuskar will be there, we just wont be playing them. Yet.

Ogres, well, I never ask for it because Im not into ugly two headed overly fat orc lookalikes but without the pizazz.

People have asked for playable dragonic races quite a bit, Im just not sure this is what they had in mind.

But yea, Drakthyr is meh.

OBLITERATE.

Vrykul are too large to be a playable race, ogers are all male untill they add female NPCs you wont see it as a playable race

Dragons, not abominations created by Neltharion.

Me either!

I was really happy to get Vulpera; other than that I never think about other Races, Probably because I love Blood Elves so much, so I’m content.

The only thing I think is that the Vrykul look should be a Kul Tiran customisation.

I think the Dracthyr will be amazing; I’m so excited. :seedling:

People have been asking for some form of dragonkin for ages.

I like the new race/class combo. I think it’s great.

I also think the visage needs to be a Vrykul or it needs to be a unique model.

Sometimes i feel that Blizzard’s like Liz Hurley in that movie where she plays the wish granting devil, always delivering on wishes but never exactly how the person wants them to be, we want new races and we get ones that wouldn’t have even cracked a top 10 poll from the community, we want flying as soon as we hit level cap just like how it was at the start, but we get this new gated dragon flight mechanic lol

Ironic, coming from a void elf.

Ain’t it?

Vrykul are just big humans that lift with a Viking theme, so they’d not be anymore interesting than the Kul Tirans.

I think the biggest problem with Orcs is theme trying to figure out what a female ogre would look like with the physiology they’ve had for the past 18 years without it being something scarring and meme-able.

Tuskar I’m not entirely sure. There use to be a lore reason that they couldn’t leave the cold climate of Northern for very long without dying; don’t know if that is cannon any more.

Sethrak are no longer relevant, and it was hard to justify them when they were a race that helped both the alliance and horde back when they possibility of being an allied race was there.

There was talk of another Allied race via a preorder bonus. Hoping Tuskaar, only because they featured in the reveal.

If true, maybe the preorder bonus means those players get access earlier?

People have been asking for a Dragon race, just not as much as the others. Also I dont think its necessarily the same as what they were asking for

I just wanted playable Mogu. Would have fit in with BFA/Shadowlands but oh well

It is. Very.

But this is the closest we’ll ever get the Alliance HEs. :disappointed:

Where?

Whatever Bellular and Matt go to look at all things WoW. I could try and find it.

Something new or something older?

The new race is appealing to me and a number of other people.
