I’ve recently come back and looking at the state of class changes over the course of Dragonflight and the little to no communication going forward into TWW I’m disappointed at the state of Elemental. I’m just curious if anyone else is looking at classes that are more attractive to groups?

I’m definitely planning on it. Shaman hasn’t really been fun since WOD, for me. I stopped playing Elemental and Enhancement in Legion and was solely a Resto player, but even Resto is just not fun anymore. And the severe lack of any kind of communication on Blizzard’s part in regards to whether or not Shaman is going to see any changes has me thinking they either don’t care or don’t know what to do.
So, I’m thinking if I want to stay a Healer main going forward, Priest or Druid… or maybe even Evoker… look more enjoyable.
For DPS, I’m looking at either Warrior or Warlock.

What part of DF or frankly SL made you feel like Shaman was not disappointing? You either like the class and keep playing it no matter how badly its treated, or you move on.
If you’re waiting for Shaman to be treated like real classes, you’re in for a long wait.

I am holding out for Enhancement Shaman but need to plan to reroll into something in TWW. Enhancement Shaman is hitting the bottom rock so hard and fell further than hell.

I am a long time Moonkin main going back to vanilla. I started loving and playing shaman in Legion as an alt, then mained it for a time in shadowlands and DF.
I really don’t want to main Druid again in TWW but it really depends on the total package each spec is getting. Shaman to me honestly isn’t bad at all currently and that’s why I’m playing it, but the class needs some overdue attention to the talent trees and visual effects.

I’m planning on staying Elemental. I’ve mained one since MoP. The highest level content I do is heroic raids and a maximum of +10 mythic keys, and for that content Elemental is fine.
However, I’m not a fan of either of the hero talent trees. I don’t like playing lightning; I do enjoy fire but I’m not impressed with Farseer so far(seer). So, as a contingency plan in case I don’t enjoy the play style in TWW (or Blizzard doubles down on not improving the spec tree), I will be gearing an Augvoker as well. Enhancement shaman is still a possibility; I started playing it during Remix and am having a blast despite it being a melee spec.
Nonetheless, it would be great to see some class and spec tree improvements.

I will be rerolling. Going back to monk or warlock.
I’m just not going to play the expansion. I like the aesthetic of Shaman and invested a lot of my time into this character. If they’re going to suck then I’m just not buying the expansion nor pay a monthly fee because they don’t wanna do their job.

I wonder if it was the EQ rant post one I saw where he re wrote it but for shamans. Regardless it was based, but we are likely bus shocked now and getting no changes.
