I’m excited that there are new MMO’s being developed such that when Wrath finishes up, Retail will have been given a run for it’s money long enough to have reformed, and if it doesn’t then there will be other more enjoyable MMO’s stealing the limelight.
More high quality MMOs out there is a good thing, and the pressure on Blizzard from others ‘invading their domain’ will be good for the gamespace as a whole.
Complacency breeds disdain, and eventually contempt for the players.
You don’t have to play New World or FFXIV if you don’t want to, but their existence is a net win for the players of WoW, if not for Blizzard.

Anything that gets Blizzard off their butts due to competition is welcome. I don’t care how the game is, if it puts WoW subscriptions at risk and is popular enough, it might be enough for Blizzard to get in gear and straighten their messes out.
So I would not bad mouth it too much, it could the the swift kick in the backside Blizzard needs.

New world is doing new things. May not be my cup of tea and I may laugh at anyone naive enough to think Amazon isn’t looking to cash in, but the main thing the MMO market has lacked in over 10 years is something new. If every MMO follows the same formula then we’ll never get anything that has a chance of beating wow with the content it already has available.

I’m not interested in games winning or drama or anything like that. I’m just bored of the core of WoW that a new expansion simply cannot make up for it any longer. I leave WoW not with hatred or frustration, but a melancholy that a phase of gaming in my life has ended.
I was excited to try Lost Ark, since I had fun in the alpha, but alas it was delayed in favor of New World. I’ll see if the launch reviews are good to decide if I should try it.

If I get access to the beta I will play it. It releases about the time my WoW sub expires so I’ll just swap over. If it flops, maybe I will see what this sunshine is all about that other people talk about.
