My only gripe ever with that mount was the tail. It just looks weird and doesn’t look like a bird tail. But over the years it’s grown on me and now I just like it

Meh. The concept is cool but it’s never lived up to the hype. And the mouth is so weird. The subsequent fire bird mounts were both vast improvements.

I’d love to see an updated model. Not a change in the style of the mount, but more pixels or something so it looks crisper.

Ashes isn’t my favorite mount but I do love it. I love mounts with a bit of backstory (like Invincible or the Frightened Kodo).
The first Ashes was given to a little boy that used his Make-A-Wish to visit Blizzard. He loved his tauren hunter as much as I did.

I’m just happy I got my void talon completely by luck.
Also got my love rocket this year.
Now just need timeless and invincible.

I remember running a friend through TK one day because we were both bored, and the phoenix dropped for me at the end. My friend was SUPER excited and I was happy to hand it over, as I didn’t see myself using it on the character I was playing (mounts weren’t account-wide yet).
Within about ten minutes of actually using it, she had to stop, because the tail effects were making her nauseous. Since then, the only time she’d bring it out was for stationary screen-shot purposes. Kinda felt like I dodged a bullet a little bit with that one.

I’d love to see a new version of that mount. Just so folks can keep the old one if they got it. Sentimental reasons and all that. But it would look so heckin pretty with what WoW can do now
Marshmallow Peep with wings. I’m not a fan of the trailing stuff. It just gives me a headache. But I’m glad others like it and it was a favorite of Ezra’s, who got the world first one.

The Felfire Hawk is probably one of, if not my absolute favorite. However, I did “work hard” for my Ashes (many many runs post-BC), so I do enjoy that one as well.

Still one of the ugliest mounts in the game.
Its beautiful but its sound fx are grating. if i use it, i have to turn off game sounds
