If they shy away from doing anything that could be remotely perceived as “putting on a front”, then they literally just wouldn’t end up doing anything at all.
Something > nothing in some cases, regardless of the ulterior motives (if any).

How is it that some people have a harder time at least being a decent person?
Making a sandwich is harder than being nice. Also the contract isn’t FORCING people to help, it’s just reminding people to not be such dingbats.

Not going to bother reading it. Just play by the golden rule.
If you are uncomfortable saying “Christians” in a derogatory remark, it’s probably best not to abbreviate it either, and instead make your comment more generally, something like: “Most who quote the Bible are least likely to read and study its content, history, and teachings.”
The label “Christian” is nebulous enough that several people would identify by it, and religion is a protected class.
Growing up, I was in a family that was offended by the “x-mas” abbreviation exclusively because it removed Christ from Christmas. Either you understood this phenomenon and we’re casually taunting Christianity, or you were making the assertion that those who claim this religious position aren’t actually religious, which frankly is beyond your capacity to make.
I don’t think either statement should be welcome in light of this Social Contract reminder.

Keep in mind, though, that not all people who quote the Bible are xtian. Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Atheists, Jains, etc, all quote the Bible. People quote any number of holy books all the time. The most famous quote of a holy book, for example, was from Oppenheimer quoting Vishnu in the Bhagavad Gita, saying “Now I am become Death, Destroyer of Worlds.”
When my kids where young the language filter was on or I logged them out of the chats. Again, we aren’t talking about harassment here. But if you are offended, use the language filter.
