Jokes on them, I’m calorie free.
You don’t think the… bears would eat bugs?
I will assume that’s a lie until I see a nutrition label.
What I wanna know is, if everything in the Shadowlands is anima, and that’s pure soul stuff… how did y’all not starve?
No they are sophisticated, probably more so than most of the playable races lol
If there’s nothing else? I personally will eat a bug.
Spiders are not bugs.
In any case, 90% of Alliance food in classic came from spiders.
I understand the Chinese eat locust larvae and call them “land shrimp”.
Don’t forget dusky “crab” cakes!
Yes. For two reasons.
Foxes absolutely love bugs. I’m reminded of a video showing an owner of a fennec feeding their little fellow a large cricket, and laughing at how absolutely bonkers it went as it voraciously chowed down on it.
The second reason has to do with actual Vulpera. They were scavengers eking out a harsh living in Vol’dun…and half the animal population of that desert is insectoid. Fill in the blanks…
I for one, ate while I was dead. Somehow this worked.
THEY ATE EACH OTHER.
Kaldorei spider kabob. So many spider legs from Silverpine I couldn’t use because it was Alliance only recipe.
Wellllll…do we know yet if the foxtails on their wagons came from Vulpera, or the herb of the same name?
Hmm…
My niece calls them sea bugs
Pretty sure it’s done for memorial purposes. They cut off the tails of dead family members. The Vulpera also keep the bones of Elders to lead to their caravan family specific graveyards when it’s time for a soul to cross over.
Yeah if you want easily available protein in the desert, you basically have one option.
What sucks even worse is that bugs are actually nutritionally very very good, packed with protein and fat with very little you have to digest to get to it.
So Vulpera might actually suffer the fate of the Ferengi, which imo is worse than death. They actually revealed this in certain episodes of Deep Space Nine. They get indigestion because they’re adapted to eating bugs, and bugs are actually nutritionally superior, so they can’t eat anything else. Rom actually adapted his stomach somewhat because he liked human breakfasts, but still couldn’t eat much of it.
Fun fact, folks go on and on about eating rabbit, but it’s so protein packed that there’s little room for anything else, which… ironically…is very bad for you. Unless you’re adapted to digest and operate that way, which people are not.
Draenai and elves love to Crunchy Spider Legs!
On the farm, ev’ry Friday
On the farm, it’s rabbit pie day
So ev’ry Friday that ever comes along
I get up early and sing this little song
Run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run
Run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run
Bang, bang, bang, bang goes the farmer’s gun
Run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run, run
i will not eat the bugs.
