I don’t see myself being able to do these on any alts sub 5k without them feeling extremely long and not worth the time put in. Feels like a chore not a dungeon. Actually feels more like a retail Mythic + without the timer.
Just tanked a couple of these on my 4.5 Warrior. The rest of my group was 5k+ and it still felt slow.
Not sure about anyone else but doing 38 of these for item doesn’t seem like a lot of fun to me.
Would be cool if they just added RDF and it dropped all the gear from Heroic’s, Alpha and Beta Dungeons, as catch up. Instead of these slow dragged Mythic + clone dungeons.
Can we also talk about the fact that this isn’t Wrath anymore. There were never a lot of these mechanics in Wrath dungeons. The tentacles in HoL/HoS are just not needed.
But since its slowly becoming retail I wouldn’t be surprised if I log in one day and am somehow playing Dragonflight.
I guess its supposed to be something to gap fill between raids, though idk how well it will work, even with the fat carrot they have dangling in front of it, given how alpha dungeons were pretty dead outside of the daily heroic past like week 2 of them being out.

So basically its going to become Mythic + is all I’m getting from that. Becomes harder but gives better rewards lol that is a clone of Mythic +.
So what can alts to do gear? RDF would be nice for regular heroics and even for Alpha to gear alts. Content is geared towards end game players who don’t need the catch up gear so why does it even drop gear if it is “challenging” content?
Personally, if I were to start gearing a fresh level 80 alt for PVE today, I’d start with Phase 1 10m/25m world tours, and follow that up with 10m/25m Ulduar.
Yeah if you don’t need the gear they’re fast, what if you’re trying to gear up an alt? This content is just not for them? What’s the point of the catchup gear if the content takes so long on alts?
I just leveled a fresh alt to 80 with a friend, we grinded AV so much we have full Deadly. I fully understand pvp gear isn’t ideal, but it’s certainly better than the quest greens we had.
I’ve chatted in Trade chat and people said full Deadly is more than fine for H++, but we have this thread here saying it’s impossible, which actually is it?
Good to know, I took a little read to some of them to know what to do, like for the blood one you typically want a melee to take the poison thing, so my Mage will basically do nothing different to that place, but the Ice one if you have fire stand in Ice for big boosts.
I’m not mechanically inept, so that’s a good thing. But I’m always worried people look at GS or whatever before the insatnce and go “nah, you’re too undergeared” and get the boot.
I’ll have to find a decent guild sometime. I’ve gotten a ton of invites during my time levelling, but from experience those random guilds that send an invite to anything with a pulse tend to not be the best.
Especially if it’s a random invite with no whisper or message beforehand.
Did you do the Ulduar dungeons? The HP buff in those are obscene… Like 400% compared to 200% with alpha (Loken has 3m in alpha and 6m in beta).
Those are going to take forever even in Ulduar gear.
