A few guys for TBC, but mostly Jeff Kaplan. He went to Overwatch and then left the company.
For Wrath, it was Tom Chilton. I think he is on some secret mobile project for the last 6 years.

I don’t think mages were op in wrath. I didn’t play one but… Literally every single spec was good if played right to be honest. At least for PvP that’s how it was. Every single spec for every single class was fun and good. That’s why it was just done so well. Just my opinion

Mages in pvp were the top class to have in 3s. God comp,rmp or shaman,rogue,mage.
That’s all you’d see in top end 3s brackets
Generally the combo to have. I remember in wrath alot of top rmp comps would avoid each other cause mirror 45 minute matches sucked.
So they would specifically que at different times of day just to avoid this.
All I remember from blues back then is them responding to pointless crap instead of the topics of actual importance. We’d have 100 threads asking about game bugs, balance changes, new features, and so on… but the thread the blue guy would post in would be about your favorite brand of pizza.

By the end of the expansion I’d agree with that. As someone who mained a lock from the start getting gripped, silenced and killed immediately was a bit rough. Dk/Pally was an unbeatable comp for most teams early on.
