And you sir, that is still playing does not understand the Classic players
That’s why you don’t launch with enough cap to sustain the initial pop… That’s why MMO’s historically have not launched with enough cap to support the initial rush… You make people deal with the ques and wait times. Which if you ask me is far less destructive than layering as it’s implemented now.
And yet again you do not represent the Classic players. They are not on and will not be on until launch. I want Classic players to return. Not players bored with BFA to respond!
Yes I do. . I represent THIS classic player.
How many of the 7 mil do u represent? or the other 95 million accouts not active?
And by the way those people didn’t buy BFA
I represent myself. A player who actually played in Vanilla and not just a Wrath baby
You only represent yourself. . And there is nothing wrong with that.
you’re 120 and represent? the players at 60 ? That left? what TF drugs u on?
It’s gotta be some good (crap)
Well this thread is now flame war zone. I came to be informative and now I leave.
Good day and happy flaming
Why do you think we need layering in the 30+ contested pvp zones?
We don’t and we wouldn’t have had it but people were so upset about sharding the “starting zones” that now we are getting layering.
Wait - so you think they are doing this out of spite? Come on man.
No they were going to do something. Be it sharding or layering. People outraged over sharding so they came back with layering, and that’s what we’re getting. Not spite but because this is the work around instead of sharding that people whined about incessantly.
I am Cozer. That is exactly Why I made this post. I have been on Blizzard accounts for yrs. I have never went to a P_ server. I want the look and feel of Classic, after experiencing the june beta., I have had my doubts of the new classic after they introduced layering.
Like I said before I love WOW, I just want the people to return to the classic WOW.
If people see that a certain server has a long Q timer, they might leave and go to a less populated server!
Exactly. Just look at retail - everything is telling you to get to endgame ASAP to enjoy your time in the game, because that’s where the fun actually starts.
All the sharding/CRZ/LFD elements are there to make sure you can do all this content the easiest and most accessible way, uninterrupted by player shenanigans or crowding.
It’s all about the content, not about the players and the world they are supposedly living in.
That’s why it loses the soul of the MMORPG games of old that so many people loved, as it trades ease of access and endgame only focus for a whole world, from level 1-120, with it’s own lively community where everything they do and say matters in the long run.
Instead retail just purely relies on endgame content, that can’t even last long at all just by itself - one reason being that it’s because it’s so easily accessed funnily enough.
Meanwhile, Classic’s content is really outdated, and not nearly as nice and shiny as endgame raids in retail for example are.
Yet the game feels so much worth your time, because your character has a place in an actual world where everything you do and say matters. The community IS the content, and it’s supported by the game all along from lvl 1 to 60. It’s what makes the game great. I think Blizzard forgot that…
Because here comes the retail wow mentality tool “layering”, looking to disrupt the one big success factor of Classic for retail mentality issues like “server health” which have brought us sharding/CRZ etc before, at the expense of the “World” in Warcraft… and look where it lead to…
I have just checked again. They do not want me to post on my account ( even though I created thread?)
I guess they want you to eat the cookie and feel right as rain?
I’m stubborn and so r they!
This might be my last statement on this account?
But I love all your feedback. IDK if they like yours?
Ghost towns are more of a result of people getting bored with bad game design I think… I don’t remember low pop being an issue…
I am going to try one more time to address you.
You made the post to get people to support you. While some do and some don’t you won’t listen to anyone and tell them they are not allowed, in your mind, to have an opinion.
According to your Cozer toon, and talking in the third person is sort of strange, you are at best a Wrath Baby. Your achieves don’t start till 2010.
Does this mean your points are invalid? No. But if you want to use that as a measuring stick then you better check our bios too
Thank you
Again, you did NOT play the beta. You were on a stress test.
Things are changing and moving and you have a right to be concerned and to voice your opinion. Just not the way you are going about it.
You keep saying this while discounting those of us who feel the same way. And you discount us purely on the fact we are on a level 120 character. Can’t you see how disingenuous that is?
This is very problematic for some. Let’s say you are a member of a large guild like Convert To Raid or AIE. You can’t just go to another server. Or let’s say your friends are on the server and you cant join them. Server ques are not the answer and will hurt the overall health of the game.
Layering is not perfect. I know you won’t read this, you haven’t yet, but it is temporary and with fixes for exploiting an alright solution.
I don’t think I said that Abigaiil. Not specifically anyway.
You don’t remember blizzard offering realm transfers for free just months after the game launched to specific low pop realms cause of how dead they were?
If they quit sooner then they would with sharding (layering), then we simply reach the target population sooner.
I don’t see the problem.
I want layering out of game.
Anyone, including the current development team members, who say it’s okay, are the SAME people who okay’d change by change making the game eventually what it is today.
I’ve been pulling my hair out since Pre-Wrath over changes to the game. Then after 10 years, I hear we’re getting Vanilla again. And I knew, I just KNEW, we wouldn’t really be getting it. The ‘okayer’s’ would find a way to ruin it.
If Blizzard were really wanting Classic to be successful in this day and age, there’d be a lot of other ways they could improve player retention and experience. But they think technology can save Classic. One, Classic doesn’t need saving. And two, the technology doesn’t even make modern games compelling. Why would it work with Classic?
