Who want's layering gone out of game

yes I was in may beta, I was in a Q of about 1700. I didn’t mind waiting. The ones they want back are waiting for classic, then when they see classic isn’t classic they will quit. The ones they want back are the ones not active now. This isn’t not expansion. It’s to bring back the ones that quit yrs ago. To bring back the ones on pirate servers, so that wow can flourish

Is a terrible solution done by terrible programmers of terrible private servers that are played on and liked by terrible players.

Just say NO to dynamic respawns, and save Classic!

How about we have no layering and stable servers! Why are people under the presumption that layering is required for stable servers?

Again, that is just so convenient to say on the forums but in gaming history it doesn’t hold up. No one is ever ok with unstable servers. It makes people angry, it makes people quit, and it makes people demand refunds. You can swear it’s fine all day long but history does not support you.

It has been proven that an element of dynamic respawns existed in Vanilla.

Those terrible programmers sitting in their apartments managed to create stable servers capable of having 15k people on at a time. That’s far more impressive than what Blizzard’s “servers” are seemingly capable of.

No blizzard listened to trolls and ruined the game for them. They went to the game they knew and love. Every since blizzard bought the game, everything they did ruined it for the players. That is why pirates strive today. Not terrible players but wow game play

Nor does Vanilla WoW history support layering.

I played from 02/05 to Lich King. No layering was in site.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

After over a DECADE of work on the server software.

But, go ahead… You believe that those terrible IP thieving programmers were good.

Those terrible IP thieves are why we are getting official classic servers in 2 months. Nothing but praise towards them. They fought the good fight for us Vanilla lovers.

Invulnerable, that’s what i’m saying. Blizzard never kept the original version, or it wouldn’t of take moths to do. They don’t understand just like the few subs they have. But warning was sent in advance, blizzard didn’t take heed. Sure the programmers are taking a hit. But over all layering will put their efforts to not, if they continue. What was the 1 clue that you had a good server? was it going into game or going into a server that had a Q time?

Pirate detected.

 No, they lined their pocketbooks from people who have trouble letting go of things.

You say IP thieves, but they were really just providing a service for a license that was no longer being supported.

Blizzard literally invited the Nost staff to their campus so they could figure out how Nost servers supported so many players online and how Nost rebuilt the Vanilla world of Azeroth.

Have you been paying attention at all? This is common knowledge in the classic community.

Blizzard gave us the wall of no for years. The nost team cut a damn door in the wall and a few years later Blizz decided to knock it down because Nost proved the interest was there.

Why would i want to let go of the best iteration of my favorite video game in favor of versions of the game that i literally hate?

You’re not very bright.

World of Warcraft was still supported. You may not have liked the changes, but it was still available.

As a PR stunt, nothing more.

Nah, it was for a different license. I bought a bunch of em over the years.

Yet two years later we get Classic.

Coincidence? Doubt it.

You keep saying this like its a thing.

Do they want old subs to come back? Yes
Do they want current subs to stay subbed? Yes
Is that an evil conspiracy and means they are the worst ever? No

Companies have to make revenue in order to pay the people who make the games we passionately argue about on the forums they pay for.

You are also assuming that the missing 7 mil all want to play wow again. That the reason they left was that they hated it so much they just could not stand it anymore.

Sure, some felt that way, but there are a lot of other situations to consider why people leave and drop off.

Your original premise last night was that you did not want layering. You tried to hide it in a question hoping everyone would come out to defend your GRAND declaration. However, that did not happen and now it’s diluted down to the same thing that happens in all the threads on layering right now.

You will be able to still pvp. Those people who are right in front of you that you can’t see. . They are not right in front of you. From a software and development standpoint, we have a working solution for the real problem that the game will see at launch.

Is it just like it was in 2004? No
Is it 2004? No

You don’t go out and buy Half-Life, then when Half-Life 2 comes out, buy that, and lose access to the original Half-Life do you? Nope, you paid for em both so you get to play both of them.

Hey now…
